This is an overall bad property. Units are not kept up, management and maintenance are unprofessional. The laundry facility is always dirty and unkept. The pool has never been open more than a month the 2 1/2 years we have lived there. Stayed in one of their 1 bedroom apartments and it was an alright experience. Had problems with the A/C not getting fixed in a timely manner during the summer as well as water leaks. Was charged almost $1,800 dollars in move out charges. $800 dollars of the move out charges were for the fridge that management claimed didn’t worked but just needed to be powered on. We disputed and got that charge taken off. We moved into one of the 3 bedrooms and it was not move in ready. Showers needed resurfacing, W/D hookups needed to be replaced and it had a roach infestation. We reported this to management and had to fight to get out of our lease without any charges due to all the problem with the unit. We managed to break our lease and move out within a month of moving in. This property is not worth your time and money.

Terrible People in Office

Do not come to this location at all. They do not care about the crap on property and will retaliate if you file a complaint about your apt. They tell you they care but not enough about your safety and concerns. You'll be better off breaking your lease if you are here due to the lack of concerns about water damage, electricity issues and flooding of your toilets. They will tell you it's not a concern of theirs because they have time to fix anything that goes on in your apartment. Whether non emergency or not

ROACHES EVERYWHERE

do not move here awful maintenance, so hard to get ahold of office , they randomly cut the water off for “maintenance “ and doesn’t tell anyone not to mention the roaches that infest a lot of the buildings and don’t do anything to fix it . And the air conditioners / heaters are always broken or having problems and never gets fixed

Would not recommend.

The first week of us moving in, multiple neighbors warned us about the unprofessionalism from this rental company and the past water flooding and damage issues throughout the units. The apartment we were shown was not the one we received. Our Balcony smelling like pet urine, noticeable water damage and uneven floors were some complaints we had soon as we moved into the apartment. The leasing office is very unorganized. The first month of paying rent, the lease lady lost our rent check and magically showed when I informed her that I handed it to her a day before rent was due. The maintenance staff is very poor and unprofessional. Maintenance has only 2 staff members to work on 180 units. Our request were not taken serious and or were pushed too the side as well as it took multiple days to get to our request completed. Our water is constantly getting shut off by management! Currently, our A/C unit has been out for almost a week and still hasn’t been taken care of. Property has no cameras and our neighbors cars were damaged due to a hit and run. Trash is always all over the place and children damage sidewalks due to no supervision. Will not be renewing lease.

Good At First

I really liked it the first couple weeks. Units look nice and “updated” inside. After a while, it’s clear that everything was cheaply done... Overall, I still enjoyed it (especially the convenient location) until my lease was up. I decided not to renew and cleaned the apartment appropriately, not leaving behind damage, smell, anything. Turns out I got sent to collections for “unpaid fees” which ended up being Shannon (property manager) charging almost $1k for cleaning fees and “miscellaneous damage”?! Of course I tried to contact her but she would not even tell me what was damaged or give me the time of day. Really disappointed with how this ended, will not recommend anyone to the complex.

More like a Nightclub than a home

I don't understand why you have employees living on property and they run it as it was their own I see the assistant manager doing all types of things for her family that lives there but when us that live there ask for the same treatment we get told no. I live right by her and it sounds like a nightclub coming out of her house at all hours of the day and night but when you complain to her boss you get lease violations. Really sketchy gruop of guys always in and out pulling up with their music playing loud disturbing others but I guess because she works here we have to bite our tongues. I don't plan on renewing my lease in the next few months and will let everyone I work with know to stay away from these apartments!

Poor Place to Live

I moved into the Residencies at Lakeshore 3 months ago. I’ve waited to post this review and finally reached my breaking point. Here’s my list of issues with the Residencies at Lakeshore: my neighbors smoke weed non-stop so my house smells like a weed skunk 24-7. Kids took my glass bowls to feed my cat and shattered them in front of my house. Constant ding-don’t ditching by these kids (boy, how much fun is that.) My “newly, reinvated” floors are coming up, my dishwasher was installed incorrectly, and various other air conditioner, shower and electrical problems. Oh! And I had my home broken into; thank God I installed an alarm. Do yourself a favor, don’t live here. It’s a poor chioce. I was new to the area and in a rush to move. I’ve learned my lesson. Please, learn from my mistake. Update: Now online payment includes a $20 service fee. Total bull if you ask me. Now my rent is $20 more unless I pay via check. This place is junk.

Completely Overwhelmed

First, the appearance is shaping up!! They have begun renovating and gutting all units which should last until next year same time. The staff is amazing and always, always eager to help and with first class hospitality!! People should understand that the move-in timing may alter here and there due to circumstances beyond their control. I am so looking forward to the finished result of this property. Dishonest, rude and threatening

They are constantly changing ownership and mgmt with each being less professional and less competent than the previous. The upgrades are not worth the 220.00 rent increase when the plumbing and wiring is 45 years old, the age if the apt. The electrical wiring that trips the breakers several times daily causes the power to go off and there's no air. The unit went out and no air for months which is very hard if you have ashtma, hypertension or small child. The water takes 20 mins to drain in the tub. Ppl with keys walk in unannounced, which is dangerous and scary. Maintenance are unliscenced and untrained and will curse you out if you call them after hours to fix the faulty electrical wiring that goes out 3 times day. They act like you're lying about your issues and their excuse is there's no paper trail. They don't know what they're doing so they hire contractors . Laundry area is scary smells like urine with broken equipment. Prev they had security which was the only good thing I can say. Lots of police activity. Your insurance will double due to the address and the area. Construction leaves nails in parking lot for your tires to go flat and u can go now and take pics where there's rusty razors in the grass around the apt where they leave behind trash. Imagine a child getting a hold of that. The mgr is loud and obnoxious and I will never go back to the office again. These Cali ppl are looking to get rich off the poor citizens of OKC. They sent my mail back for no reason and I have yet to find out which post ofc. Their excuse for every thing is it's a glitch when actually, they are incompetent and don t care. Last night I called maintenance after hours to fix the faulty electrical wiring that trips the breakers several times daily causes the power to go off and there's no air and asked for help, and was called the "N" word and some other derogatory terms. Clearly, These ppl are not professional. I'm going to file a police report, but I write this review to save every one the heartbreak of the Village on the Lake or whatever they're calling themselves now.

Misleading

I am not a tenant but I have toured the property and was unfortunately underwhelmed. I can not say much for the office staff or facility. The photos on their website and on any apartment search website are misleading. Most of the aesthetic issues could be fixed if the management decided to put a lot of money into the complex. Grounds were mostly dirt, main office area and restroom were very dirty, laundry facility was poorly lit and sketchy, and just didn't give of a nice vibe to potential people living there. The area west of Hefner Lake is not bad to live in but something about this particular complex didn't have me feeling safe. It was too quiet (in a bad way) and I saw nobody walking around to enjoy the outside or do chores which makes me suspicious of the safety of the complex. It looks like they were updating and remodeling when I toured at the beginning of January so the look of the outside of the complex may be on the rise. I can only comment on the aesthetics of the complex when I went to tour but it leaves much to be desired.

No Stars

I went to visit my sister and mother after they moved to these apartments and was disgusted by the trash on property. The apartments are run down looking and a god awful yellow color paint. The grounds are not taken care of. The parking lot has pot holes. Inside apt was ok looking but very out-dated. laminate wood floors throughout the apt. Guess they got tired of replacing carpet when the stains were too many to clean, idk. All of the back/side apartment face inwards, away from your car so you won't be able to see if someone is trying to break in. If you want have thugs/trash as your neighbors, then this is the place to live. Just take a drive through the apartments, you will see what I am talking about.
