Located in southern central Mississippi, the city of Brandon takes up about 21 square miles and has a population of nearly 16,500 people. The city itself is known for its rich history; even before the official settlement of the area, this was a very popular site for Native American activity. As such, there are actually a number of sites in the city that are on the list of the National Register of Historic Places. Furthermore, the city is widely-known for its theater productions, making it a popular destination for those who want to catch a live show or play.
Overall, Brandon is a great place to live whether you are an individual or have a family; its relatively low crime rates, diverse culture, and booming economy make this an in-demand place to live as well. As such, finding rental properties is not always easy. It is best to start looking sooner rather than later if you do not want to end up on a long wait list.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

About the Listing Agent
Steve Houck
Real Estate Partners
About Steve Houck, Broker/Owner – Real Estate Partners With more than 26 years of experience, I’m proud to say I truly love what I do. Over the years, I’ve earned multiple professional designations, including Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Graduate of the Realtor® Institute (GRI), and Certified Real Estate Negotiator (CREN). I’m also the only agent in Mississippi certified in Artificial Intelligence by the Krem Institute of AI — a distinction that allows me to use advanced, data-driven marketing tools that most agents don’t even know exist. I’ve served on the boards of both our local MLS and the Jackson Association of Realtors, and I’m an active member of the Home Builders Association, the Better Business Bureau, and the Chamber of Commerce. New construction represents about half of my business, and I’m equally passionate about helping clients with luxury homes, waterfront properties, and first-time home purchases. My background in construction supervision gives my clients an added level of insight and confidence throughout the buying and selling process. My pledge is simple: to deliver service above and beyond expectations. I’ve earned a reputation as the “go-to” Broker for Madison and the surrounding areas thanks to my deep market knowledge, hands-on expertise, and unwavering commitment to communication. When you call or email me, you can count on a real response — because your goals are my priority.
