Set in a quiet residential neighborhood on a tree lined street, walk through the woods by the creek to the Museum of Natural History, then on the Mission and downtown Santa Barbara. Or stroll to a nature walk at Stevens Park or Rocky Nook Park, each about 1/2 mile. Walk to coffee at the Handlebar Café for a latte and amazing pastries, or Trader Joe’s for your favorite groceries. Gaze at the majestic mountains, or turn your attention to the fairy-like pond with lilies and tiny waterfalls. The charming sustainable garden has over 500 species of unusual plant species, including 37 types of fruits and many other vegetables and flowers. Pick your own organic fruit and vegetables and get acquainted with your inner farmer! (Or just relax – the gardeners come once a week...) You might catch a glimpse of Peter Rabbit scurrying about. After your bedtime story (either from a book in the library - or the large modern TV with Roku) you can sleep like a baby in the comfortable queen bed.
