Welcome to this spacious and charming two-bedroom apartment nestled within a beautifully preserved historic home in the heart of the Eldridge Avenue Historic District. The neighborhood is known for it's architectural richness - many homes date from 1885 to 1910 - and includes styles like Queen Anne, Eastlake, Shingle and craftsman. This home was built in 1946. Parks, like Elizabeth Park with its free outdoor summer concerts and tennis courts and many other green spaces, such as the dog park at the bottom of West St abound and are all walking distance. The Seawall, Bellingham Marina, the Pier and Squalicum beach are also just a couple of blocks away. This space is unique and has a touch of modern convenience combined with classic character!! The generous apartment floor plan allows for a full laundry room, a large home office work space, and an open concept kitchen/dining/living room. There is ample closet space and a place to share for bikes in the secure dry garage. The heat is steam radiator and is cozy and warm in winter and the apartment is cool and refreshing in summer. Your private entrance opens to a fully fenced yard and shared outdoor patio space. Small pets will be considered on a case by case basis. We're a friendly bunch upstairs and you will instantly have new friends and a sense of community if that's your jam. There are some minor upgrades for the unit so we would like to extend a $100/month discount until the work is completed (estimate 2-3 months). Utilities are shared and you will pay 1/3 of the; heat, w/s/g, internet and electric.
