Boron is home to the U.S. Borax Boron Mine, California's largest open-pit mine, which is also the largest borax mine in the world. Boron is on the border of Kern and San Bernardino Counties along State Route 58. Boron is 65 miles (105 km) north of Palmdale, 85 miles (137 km) east of Bakersfield, and 40 miles (64 km) west of Barstow in the Antelope Valley region of California's Mojave Desert.
This is a cute, clean and very TINY, LITTLE HOUSE with one small bedroom plus a very small second area/ alcove that you walk through. It’s perfectly situated hidden behind a dog grooming (former beauty shop) and retail shop. It is across from a small grocery store and bank and more. You can walk to so much including senior center, restaurants, stores, museum, clubs, gym, park, schools and houses of worship and more. Boron is a cute little town of about 2,500 people with murals and points of interest like a giant dump truck or huge tire or a painted scene of burros and cart coming from the mine shaft (see pictures).
Our tiny, little middle house has had repair/upgrades like new water lines and a few more improvements just over a year ago. It has easy clean, tile floors and a newer ceiling fan. Great parking right by your door. It even has laundry hookups for your washer and dryer. Dryer included as is. This is a quiet area, with quiet neighbors, except for a train that runs behind the property, which people say you get used to. This is a single level property with easy entry but has only a VERY SMALL shower. It is NOT very handicap friendly. There is no yard. Well behaved pets may be allowed on a case by case basis. No smoking.
Tenant pays their own water, trash, electric, gas, and any internet, phone or TV service they want.
Rent is discounted to $700/mo if paid in full before it is due with no previous outstanding balance.
Regular rent is $800/mo.
Security is $800. Security deposit insurance is now REQUIRED and to be paid 1 year in advance.
