Aberdeen is a small city located at the mouth of the Chehalis and Wishkah Rivers near the Washington coast, about fifty miles west of Olympia. The city has become a pop culture landmark as the hometown of late musician Kurt Cobain, and numerous tributes can be seen across the community (including the official city motto, “Come As You Are,” the title of a song written by Cobain).
