Pendleton is a small and fairly secluded city in northeastern Oregon, positioned about sixty miles south of Kennewick, Washington. The Umatilla River divided the city in half, with the south bank hosting Pendleton’s vibrant Downtown district along Main Street. Pendleton has long served as a major stop on the rodeo circuit, and the historic Pendleton Round Up arena overlooking the river is one of the nation’s most storied rodeo venues. Residents enjoy prime access to some of the Pacific Northwest’s most beautiful natural environments, with hills and forests surrounding the city and providing excellent venues for outdoor exploration.
