Part of a circa-1840 mansion, this historic home offers a step back in time with antique beams and gleaming pumpkin pine floors. This completely private apartment features an open living space on the first floor with a kitchen, dining area, and living room, complete with an easy-to-use gas fireplace. The petite kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, french-door air fryer, and a Keurig coffee maker. Upstairs, the bedroom suite includes a queen bed, a seating area with a chaise lounge and chairs, two over-sized bureaus, and a private bathroom with a large tub and shower. Enjoy private outdoor space with an outdoor dining set and a tree swing for two, along with a gas grill. A pack-n-play or other children's furnishings may be available for an additional charge. Stroll along High Street, Newburyport's mansion row, known for its Federalist, Victorian, and Empire style architecture, leading to the vibrant downtown. Newburyport has been recognized as a best place to live and has received numerous "Best of North Shore" awards for its excellent restaurants, pubs, museums, and boutiques. For outdoor recreation, enjoy the paved rail trail leading to River Walk Park or explore Plum Island for wildlife viewing, Parker River for water activities, or Salisbury beaches for beachcombing. The property is also a short drive to Gloucester, Rockport, Salem, and Marblehead, and the commuter train to Boston and Portland, Maine is a 2-minute drive away. Please note that due to environmental considerations, the fireplace will be temporarily disabled when the air conditioning units are installed from May to September. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on the property, and guests will be fined and immediately evicted for violations. Parties, events, or bands are not allowed at any time and are cause for eviction with no refund. Guests are expected to honor quiet hours, which are typically between 10 PM and 8 AM, and respect neighbors' privacy. Tampering with safety sensors, including exterior cameras and noise monitoring devices, is prohibited. Guests must be at least 25 years old to book.
