Staying on the hotel strip only feels very “touristy”. We feel much at home in this unit because we can cook our own food, shop at the closest grocery store, ride the bus to Don Quijote, and walk around town just exploring. Working remotely from this unit is another benefit that we enjoy. With a fast internet, all we do is connect our laptops and join our team meetings in the mainland (check your timezones). After work is done at 5pm PST (3PM HST), we still have a couple of hours and just the perfect time to go to the beach and enjoy watching the sunset." More Reasons to Stay In This Unit: Walking to Kuhio beach is just a few minutes, like 3 short blocks away. Pass a couple of ABC stores, get your drinks and sunblock, cross Kalakaua Ave and there you are at the beach. Bring the provided beach chair, cooler, and umbrella as needed. After having fun at the beach, get back home and shower, and prepare your dinner. Save lots of money by shopping for your favorite foods and cooking them fresh. Use the kitchen utensils and you’ll never feel that you’re away from home. Enjoy your dinner while watching the sunset or the views by the lanai or watching your favorite TV show from the flatscreen TV. Explore, Adventure and More: Next day won’t be boring as there are many spots to explore. Go to the newly opened Waikiki Market or walk by the International Stores. There’s Ross, Macy's, Nordstrom and local stores close by if you forgot something from home. If you want to go further, get the HOLO Bus day pass from any ABC store and use this to explore town by riding the bus. Bus station is just next to the building. Bus 2 will bring you to Don Quijote, Bus 8 will bring you to Ala Moana Mall, Bus 21 & 42 to Home Depot and Costco. There are plenty of rideshare or rental cars if you want to really go around.
