This home offers the luxury of convenience and comfort, being just a short walk from Rio Del Mar beach and Aptos village! The spacious living room with a wood burning stove is located on the main floor, providing ample room for home office, living room furniture and dining area. The kitchen is off the living room, as well the half bath. With a sliding glass door right next to the kitchen, you will see your own private backyard with a patio, and a grass area. Stairs lead up to the second floor where both bedrooms and the full bath with a shower over tub are located. There is storage underneath the stairs as well as all around the property. The house has a carport and additional parking in the driveway and on the street. The house has a small front yard a larger backyard with low maintenance landscaping and room for more gardening. We approve applicants who have a household income of three times the monthly rent amount (sorry, no cosigners), good credit (625 min. credit score) and positive landlord and/or employer references. Pets are allowed. 12-month lease. Applicants cannot have any record of bankruptcies in the last two years or any previous unlawful detainers. We require a separate application for any resident over the age of 18 who will be living at this residence. We also require any resident under the age of 18 to be identified as well. Overlooking Monterey Bay and home to the gorgeous Seacliff State Beach, Aptos provides amazing ocean views -- or the forest if you prefer, bordered on northeast side by the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. This redwood forest begins at sea level and extends into the coastal mountains, providing 30 miles of hiking trails. The park is also terrific for camping, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.

At the other side of Aptos, Seacliff State Beach is perfect for surfing, beachcombing, swimming, and fishing. It also features a fishing pier with an unusual feature -- a concrete ship named the SS Palo Alto, a WWI ship that was built toward the end of the war -- too late for use. It was towed to its current location and allowed to sink where it now serves as an artificial reef. Aptos is located about seven miles east of Santa Cruz and roughly one hour south of San Jose.
