Considered one of the nation's fastest-growing cities, Mission is a major citrus producer -- it is even nicknamed the "Home of the Ruby Red Grapefruit." Mission provides some fantastic parks. Anzalduas Park, located along a bend in the Rio Grande, covers 96 acres and is a bird sanctuary. It also features a playground and picnic areas. With Mexico just four miles away, residents can cross into the country via the Anzalduas International Bridge to visit the city of Reynosa.
