About This Property
This is a lovely duplex apartment with a private entrance from the street, in a small family-oriented building on a quiet street in the East Village. It is about 15 minutes walk to Union Square and the West Village, 15 minutes walk to Little Italy and Soho, and a 5 minute cab ride to Chinatown. The apartment is quiet, private, and spacious, about 1,600 sq ft, lots of space and light, a view of community gardens from the top floor on two sides, full size washing machine and dryer in apartment, AC in all rooms, wi-fi, HDTV, DVR, DVD player, and private backyard with garden. There is one bedroom on the top floor, one on the ground floor, and a large open lay out TV room on the ground with a queen size futon couch/bed that can be used a third bedroom. The top floor bedroom has a queen size bed and pillowtop mattress, black-out curtains, large closet, chest of drawers and bookshelf/night table. The ground floor bedroom has a queen size futon bed, chest of drawers and full closet. One pack 'n play bed for young child is available for renters to use. There is a full bathroom on each floor and both bathrooms have a bath with shower. The kitchen is on the top floor and is fully equipped including a dish washer. An open layout leads to a large backroom with four large windows, one of which is floor to ceiling, and has a comfortable arm chair, an antique rocking chair, antique couch, desk and bookshelves. View onto community gardens and private landscaped yard. The downstairs TV room is about 400 sq feet and has two sets of windows and two glass doors opening onto the private yard, inlaid mahogany coffee table, cottage-style chest of drawers, bookshelves, and a 42' flat screen HDTV with DVR, DVD players. The downstairs laundry area has a full sink and an extra full fridge, and counter space with coffee maker. The yard is about 350 square feet, with a sunken stone patio area, table and chairs, day bed and park bench. Wi-fi reaches the yard. Pets welcome. Landscaped garden with bushes, shrubs and flowers and a comfortable outdoor daybed for summer lounging.The downstairs TV room can be used as a third bedroom - as it is quite large (400 sq feet) and has a queen size futon. There is a separate living room upstairs. Apartment can sleep up to 6 people in 3 queen size beds. Please note that this is a pet-friendly apartment and may not be suitable for people with severe pet allergies.
