Given that it’s only four blocks wide, NoLita’s portfolio of diverse offerings is quite the accomplishment. Locals would describe the neighborhood that’s “North of Little Italy” as trendy and sophisticated, with an assortment of shops and restaurants.
Sandwiched between NoHo and Little Italy, a bed of cozy coffeehouses and cafes, fashion boutiques, and bars make up this close-knit neighborhood. It’s a very friendly area – locals will often times stop along busy sidewalks to chat with neighbors passing by. Pop-up galleries are making their debut in NoLita, particularly in buildings adorned with decorative murals.
Many summer festivals take place in NoLita, given its small size. Elizabeth Street Garden is a tranquil, urban oasis in the community minutes from Spring Street Station.
