There is an 8X10 metal storage shed in the back yard, With an eye toward lowering utilities for our tenants, we have replaced all doors and windows, insulated the previously un-insulated second floor and installed energy efficient appliances and LED lighting wherever possible. The plumbing and wiring have been updated, all floor coverings are new, and the whole house has been painted in a fresh color palette. A covered front porch provides a sheltered entrance to the home and a pleasant spot to relax with a view of the City clock tower to the south. (And just wait till you see the hills beyond cloaked in Autumn color!) Inside, you are greeted by the newly built open stairway and a wide archway between the entry hall and living room. A “hall tree” with shelf, cubbies, hooks and a seat corrals jackets, boots and outdoor gear right at the entry. Large windows brighten the living and dining rooms. The original hardwood floors of the entry and dining room have been refinished. A door from the dining room opens to the main floor bedroom, which could be used as a den. It has a large closet and access to the downstairs full bath. The kitchen has updated lighting, cabinets, countertop and backsplash, and new appliances, including a dishwasher. A large island accommodates 2 or 3 stools. The small appliance center/coffee bar is complete with an under-counter refrigerator, and a nearby pantry closet adds valuable storage. At the other end of the kitchen more storage is provided by a large utility closet just inside the archway to the back entry (which has a coat closet). The back entry opens to the driveway, so hauling in groceries is a breeze! Just off the kitchen in the back hallway is another utility closet and access to the laundry room. This room has a laundry tub, cabinet and shelves, and hookups for a full-size washer and (electric) dryer. The rest of the room is left open so you can use it as you want – perhaps as an office or a hobby/craft area. In addition to opening from the bedroom/den, the spacious downstairs bathroom also opens off the back hallway. It has a vanity sink, tub/shower combo, and linen cabinets with a “grooming counter.” Upstairs, the bathroom, Bedrooms 2 and 3, and a small utility closet open off the central hall. The Main Bedroom and a large closet open off the side hall near the stairs. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a large closet and ample space for furniture placement. The Main Bedroom has three windows (facing south and west for lots of natural light) and a spacious walk-in closet which also has a south-facing window.
