About This Home
This charming one bedroom first story apartment is part of a triplex built in 1880. The apartment features all hardwood floors, lots of character, and lots of windows to let in sunlight. The apartment has two private entrances, a washer and drier, private basement storage and 2 off-street parking spaces. The private entrance from the porch includes an area to take off your shoes and hang your coats. The entrance is then followed by the living room which includes two large windows overlooking the porch. Following the living room is an archway leading to the dining room/common area. The dining room includes the original overhead lighting and two sunny windows. The kitchen, bathroom, and closet leading to the basement are all off the dining room. The bathroom includes a tile shower. The cheerful kitchen includes a pantry and a window looking over the yard and a washing machine. The dryer is located off a private entrance off the kitchen. The home is in Marquette in a quiet neighborhood near NMU, the hospital, and the "Fit Strip", which has nice trails and is groomed and lit at night for cross country skiing. The apartment has room outside for a vegetable garden. Rent is $1400/month and includes heat and water. Tenant responsibilities include electricity, wifi, and snow removal. A well-behaved pet is possible for an extra $60/month pet fee. The apartment will be available Saturday, May 2, 2026. This home is owned and managed by my wife and I, not a rental management company. We live in Marquette and pride ourselves on providing quality housing.
