For rent, 11 miles from Rochester, Minnesota, and Mayo Clinic is a quaint, very private and quiet, older (1868) Cedar home with beautiful landscaping and history. Dr. Stinchfield (who was the first physician to join the Mayo Brothers of Mayo Clinic) lived here and had his practice here. The house is bright and airy with many windows in every direction. My mother lived in this house the last 17 years and died in February at 99, so I am now planning to rent it out. The house has central air. Any furniture you see in the photos is not included, as it comes unfurnished, except for some shelves, a curio cabinet on the wall, draperies and floor lamps. I have an appointment arranged to construct another linen closet and have a shower installed in the bathroom tub in mid September, as currently has a handheld shower connected to the tub faucet. My mom had all the draperies professionally made, and they are included along with blinds. The property is located five blocks from downtown Eyota with the High School being one block south. You may read about Eyota on the city website. One-stall garage is included in the rent. Snow removal of the large parking area in the back (professionally cleared) and cleaning of the front sidewalk of snow and performing the yardwork (mowing, trimming, etc.) in the summer is included. Pet friendly (up to one animal, 15 lbs or less) with fenced yard in back. There will be a pet surcharge of $10 per month added to the monthly rent. Washer, dryer, a chest freezer, hot water heater and furnace are in the unfinished basement (cement floor) along with two tall cabinets and several shelves that run the length of one wall for storage. Fees for rubbish removal are included, unless tenant has larger items, etc. that do not fit in either the refuse or recycle containers. Utilities are the responsibility of the tenant, and I will provide a list of whom to contact and the amounts my mother paid when she was living there, if that would be helpful. A small, bricked patio area is available for grilling outside the back door.
