Marc Richmond spent his childhood years in Germany, Maryland and Pennsylvania, then his early career in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and California, but has been a proud Austin resident since 1996. He is a nationally known expert in the green building field, and has written numerous articles and made significant contributions to numerous reference books in the field. Marc graduated with a BA in Economics from Moravian College in Pennsylvania, and MBA in International Business and an MAPP in Energy & Environmental Policy from Claremont Graduate University in Southern California. Some of Marc’s professional certifications include: LEED AP (1998), CGBP (2004), GPR (2007), Cal-HERS (2008), BPI-MF (2010), NAR-GREEN (2015), and NAR-GRI (2016). He was the first co-chair of the USGBC LEED Residential Committee from 1998-2000 and served on various technical subcommittees for LEED Commercial.
