The detached cottages come with secure private parking off Historic Alley accessed by an automatic rolling gate operated by an iPhone or Android app. Step out of the cottages and you’re within two blocks of three coffee houses, a craft brewery, Starbucks, Noah’s Bagels and the locally-famous The Old Spaghetti Factory. Each cottage offers a complete kitchen with stainless steel GE appliances, including a gas range, dishwasher, built-in microwave and full-sized refrigerator. Quartz countertops and island give the kitchen a clean and contemporary look. You’ll find everything you need to make coffee or tea and toast– or to cook a full meal. The custom cabinets provide plenty of storage space. The living area features a matching loveseat and side chair with a 65 inch wall-mounted flat screen TV that includes free cable TV plus popular streaming apps that can be used with a subscription. The bathroom features a full-size tiled shower with a tempered glass sliding door and a stacked washer/dryer. The bedroom has a queen-size bed with a washable duvet/comforter and a spacious closet. All the window coverings are Bali light-filtering shades that can be lowered from the top to allow unfiltered natural sunlight without sacrificing privacy. The bedroom has additional blackout curtains for day sleepers. Dual mini-split HVAC systems in allow precision zone control for heat and air conditioning. It may not have the flashy reputation of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but Sacramento embodies the very best of what makes California so unique. The city is well known for preserving its history, from early settlements like Sutter’s Fort to the gorgeous 19th century architecture of Old Sacramento to the artifacts in the Sacramento History Museum. Pop culture and the fine arts are well-represented, with local stages hosting symphony concerts and rock shows and galleries displaying works by the old masters as well as modern upstarts. The local restaurant scene is famous for its heavy emphasis on “farm to fork” principles, making it one of the best places to find fresh, locally sourced food.
Those living in Sacramento love to take advantage of the mild climate, whether that means biking the River Trail, taking the kids to Fairytale Town, or heading over to Sutter Health Park to catch a River Cats baseball game.
