This is a very large, spacious, beautifully furnished home with 3 large bedrooms and 3 baths. The living/dining area is huge...filled with light from the long wall of south-facing windows and skylights. The galley kitchen with bar area is perfect for one or two people working with ample pantry and cabinet space. There is crockery and cutlery for up to 20 people as well as a microwave, toaster, pro blender, juicer, chopper, coffee maker, professional pots and pans, and all necessary cooking utensils, table linens etc. A new 5 -burner gas stove and Samsung dishwasher have just been installed. This traditional Southwestern adobe house has massive viga beams throughout. A kiva fireplace in the master bedroom and a shepherd's fireplace in the living room add to the charm. Heat in the living room is supplied by a Norwegian natural gas stove. All other rooms are powered with electric baseboard heating, all fueled by full roof solar. The floors are beautiful aged brick. There is a spacious laundry area with washer, dryer, water filtration system and hot water heater, as well as shelves loaded with appropriate cleaning products. Of the three bedrooms, two each have a tiny kitchenette consisting of a 'fridge, electric hot water heater, convection oven, water purifier, French coffee press and plates, bowls and utensils for two. This makes each of these rooms self-sufficient. The master bedroom is huge and has a roomy, walk-in closet with plenty of room for hanging and folded clothes as well as bedding and towels. This bedroom is en suite with the master bathroom. One guest room in a suite with private bathroom has a very large closet which contains the kitchenette on one side, providing ample space on the other for clothes. This bedroom has its own external entrance and private patio. The third bedroom is en suite with its own bathroom but has no closet. Hooks are provided on both doors for hanging clothes and several shelves and a bedside cabinet provide space for storage of folded clothes and personal items. The entire house is graced with a broad, 70-foot long terrace that sweeps from one end of the house to the other and offers magnificent views of the distant hills. You also get 180 degree views of the sun- and moon- rise and -set. On clear days, the sky is filled with stars and the Milky Way floats right over your head. The terrace boasts a covered seating area with two sofas and two armchairs, and a sizeable coffee table as well as a BBQ grill. If the winter weather is mild, it is wonderful to enjoy this outdoor space. A hot tub for two people provides a delightful place from which to enjoy the night-time skies. We pay for its setup before you move in. You pay for weekly maintenance and end-of-lease shut down. From the terrace, you step straight out onto a path through the lovely Eldorado Green Belt, where you can walk for miles - ideal for walking your dog. However, dogs MUST be leashed at all times. It is equipped with a long desk, office chair, single sofabed and table and has its own thermostat- controlled electric heater. It has a printer and office accessories and it's own dedicated high-speed wifi. There are a few fitness items, such as a yoga mat, balancing board and weights. It has a dedicated parking platform, suitable for any kind of car including RV's with water and electric hookup, but no sewage. There is ample room in the front yard for 3 or 4 cars. The owner's car remains in the garage while the other half of the garage is set up for our storage and as a relaxed, cozy hang-out area - perfect for kids and teens - and includes a wonderful electric massage chair. More parking is available on the red gravel road that branches off to the left, alongside the garage and in front of the casita. This house is located an easy 20 mns along Rt 25A North to downtown Santa Fe. There is very little traffic along this road. The property is just 2 miles from the Agora Supermarket, our local post office and La Tienda shopping center, with a hardware store, restaurant, bakery, bar, gym, Sunflower Bank, pet store, medical center and other amenities. The location is idyllic, with a wide view of open sky and the distant hills. Although neighbors are not too far away, we don't see their houses at all and enjoy the utter peace and quiet. The Galisteo Basin, which is a wonderful hiking area, is just a few miles down the road. You are an easy drive away from fascinating places such as Galisteo, Madrid, and Las Vegas or Cochiti Lake and the Tented Rocks. North of Santa Fe visit Nambe, Taos, Georgia O'Keefe's former residence at Ghost Ranch and various historic sites. DOG SERVICES If you wish to bring one or two dogs, that's fine with us. All surfaces such as beds and sofa must be protected and we will provide sheets and blankets for that purpose. We provide some dog bowls and a cozy doggie mat as well as a large collapsible crate. We are not responsible for dogs that run away - there is no fencing on the property. There is a public dog park at the shopping center. EXTRA PET FEE: $250 PER ANIMAL for entire rental period PLANTS We will ask you to water our indoor plants on a regular basis. COMMUNICATIONS We will be traveling and the best way to reach us will be by whatsapp. There will be a substantial time difference for part of the time. EMERGENCY REPAIRS We have a team of excellent handyman, plumber, etc. who know the house well and will do their best to serve you promptly if there is any emergency, eg plumbing, hot tub etc. INSTRUCTIONS You will be given a file full of detailed instructions on how to run the house, appliances etc. with phone numbers of the handyman, neighbors, police, fire etc. in case of emergency.
