Once a parsonage and later the town post office, this charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath village home is steeped in local history and filled with character. Lovingly restored and thoughtfully decorated, it’s the perfect mix of timeless charm and modern comfort. You’ll feel at home the moment you arrive. The kitchen is equipped with all the tools you need for cooking and entertaining, including a sushi kit and a popcorn station. The dining room is perfect for shared meals or celebrations, complete with proper glassware. Enjoy the vibes by spinning a record on the turntable or connecting to Bluetooth. In the living room, kick back on the cozy sectional, stream on the Smart TV, or dive into game night with the Xbox. The game den is packed with magnetic wall games and plush chairs. Upstairs, you’ll also find a bright office space, game shelf, and a screened sleeping porch with a full-size daybed and tranquil views of the backyard and fields beyond. Located in the heart of charming Bovina Center, you’ll be steps from peaceful country roads and only minutes from hiking, farmers markets, and favorite Catskills towns like Andes, Delhi, and Roxbury. Within walking distance is Brushland Eating House, Russell's General Store, Creamery Field Vintage Baseball Park, Bovina Riverwalk, a library, and a playground. A vehicle is necessary to get around, as Uber or taxi service is limited or unavailable. There’s no cell reception at the house, but you can make and receive calls with Wi-Fi Calling (be sure to turn it on in your phone settings). If you’re visiting during colder months, AWD, FWD, or 4WD and winter or all-season tires with good tread are strongly recommended. The driveway is plowed and shoveled to the door, and a shovel is provided in case you need to clear a path during your stay. No parties are allowed, and only the number of guests on the reservation should be in the house. Let the host know of daytime guests. No smoking or vaping is allowed indoors. If you must smoke, do so outdoors only and extinguish when done then put in the garbage. There will be a $500 fine for evidence of smoking inside the home. No pets are allowed.
