About This Home
1920s Craftsman style house with 2 bedrooms; one is smaller and could be for an office, 1 bathroom with tub and shower, living room, kitchen with brand new refrigerator, laundry room, attic for extra storage, large landscaped backyard with a deck for a table and chairs, storage shed, on-site parking. The house (Unit B) is off the street behind our house and is separated by a carport. The rental is 1 mile from beach, two blocks from gym, coffee shops, gas stations, Live Oak Super Market, restaurants, Simpkin's Swim Center, and much more. Live Oak has charming neighborhoods, large properties that used to be chicken farms. The owner has a small vegetable garden on the property, but the backyard is completely private. Renters have their own electric meter. Owners pay water and garbage. In order to keep the rent low, the tenants take care of yard maintenance, consisting of weed management and watering drought resistant, native plants 1-2 per week. My husband and I are looking for long term renters. Our renters tend to stay several years. However, we prefer a month to month agreement. We do not allow pets seeing how our own pets have caused damage. Sorry. Also, we just had the backyard professionally landscaped in April of this year. We are respectable of our tenants privacy and attend to maintenance issues usually within 1 day. Note: we do month-to-month rental agreements, not leases.

Eastside Santa Cruz offers all of the California charm you could want in a waterfront locale, Situated just east of the San Lorenzo River and bounded by State Route 1 and the Pacific ocean. Parks, restaurants, coffee spots, and bars galore call Eastside home. The area isn’t exactly pedestrian friendly considering the lack of sidewalks, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility to walk to attractions on Capitola Road. Eastside Santa Cruz provides a quieter suburban setting for those looking to rent in this Pacific Coast city.
Streets are lined with single-story homes and apartments in a variety of architectural styles. Eastside enjoys some of the influence of the University of California Santa Cruz campus, like its nightlife and dining geared towards students. The world-famous Santa Cruz boardwalk is within walking distance of the neighborhood, as is a selection of beaches and cool hangout spots, making this area a prime spot for residents and visitors alike.
