Fort Wright, Kentucky is a beautiful hillside retreat – four miles from Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. During the Civil War battle known as the Defense of Cincinnati, Fort Wright served as one of the fortifications that protected the city. After that, it served as dairy pasture. But the area began to develop in the 1930s, and today it is a cozy community with beautiful views of the Cincinnati skyline.

Learn more about the area’s history at the Hames A. Ramage Civil War Museum, located on Highland Pike. Students can travel across the Licking River to attend Northern Kentucky University, located a few minutes east of Fort Wright. Other great destinations include Newport Aquarium, Devou Park, Twin Oaks Golf Club, and Summit Hills Country Club.
