Set between Manchester and Concord, Hooksett is a quiet town surrounded by beautiful scenery. Incorporated in 1822, its name was set by early fishermen who found fruitful waters in the Merrimack River that runs through the town.
While new apartment complexes have sprung up across this sleepy town, there’s still plenty of old Hooksett to be found. Robie’s Country Store, founded the same year as the town’s incorporation, is a National Historic Landmark and a popular stop for presidential candidates in the days surrounding the New Hampshire Primary.
Bear Brook State Park offers a nearby refuge for those who like to hike or bike ride. There are plenty of restaurants on either side of the river, and the conveniences of the city are just minutes away.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
