Public transportation (bus) is a considerable hike from the property, so a car or bicycle is a necessity INCLUDED: Rent includes free off road parking (see more detaiks below) and access to a laundry room (open 8 am to 9 pm) with high capacity, stacked washer and dryer (Please, No washing loads for non-residents). UTILITIES: $75 fee includes all utilities except cell service. SUITE KITCHENETTE: The kitchenette boasts hardwood cabinetry, granite countertop, designer tile backsplash, large stainless steel sink, and comes furnished with pots, utensils, plates, etc. An apartment sized refrigerator, double grill/ and Microwave/ Convection are also provided. SUITE DESCRIPTION: The suite living space features a half vaulted ceiling that ensures a feeling of spaciousness. A large window with Plantation shutters fills the room with light, and in the evenings, a designer stained glass ceiling fan with dragon fly motif lights the space. Other features include imported Italian wood-look ceramic tile floors (found throughout the house), and a mirrored closet. FURNISHINGS: If you desire them, they include a lovely wooden dresser and a matching wood night stand. You provide the bed. Or bring your own furniture. TRANSPORTATION: Public transportation is a considerable hike from the property, so a car or bicycle or love of hiking is a necessity. PARKING: Offroad. No fee for 1 Car, SUV or Pickup on the blacktop and 1 under the trees by driveway. Fees will be charged for other vehicles or large trailers. LEASE LENGTH: Initial trial lease through May, then 1 year renewable leases after that. QUALIFICATIONS: Sorry, No Section8 (due to the long qualification process) Applicant to submit references and documentation proving a steady income and continuing ability to pay, as well as no past evictions proceedings. LOOKING FOR: a pet loving single, positive, mature, nonsmoking, clean, moderate, responsible and considerate individual, preferably 35 years or over, with a steady income who appreciates nature, and wants to live here long term. Mobile Seniors Welcome. . OTHER MUST HAVES: Really like animals and have NO nature or pet allergies. We have 5.5 acres here and abundant wildlife, as well as cats and a friendly senior dog in the house, and 1 mustang and 2 mini horses . We enjoy life, and celebrate the holidays, but this is not a party property. DEAL KILLERS: Please, no drama queens or addicts (that includes excessive alcohol consumption, drugs, gambling, etc). NO heavy drugs of any sort PETS: 1 to 2 cats or 1 cat-friendly small to medium dog on approval for an additional pet deposit --$250 per pet. Cats or a cat-friendly dog are welcome in the main house as long as they get along with other cats and our 19 lb, 14 year old, friendly dog Lilly. I'm afraid she does not like other dogs to tower over her, so no large dogs, please. HOUSEHOLD: You will share the 2000 sq ft drama free house with two other healthy seniors. I am an artist, writer, ,&- editor. The other lady works in management for Vons, and works long hours so you hardly see her. PETS include cats and a 19 lb senior dog who mainly sleeps now. LOCATION: Live close to the city, while still enjoying a country atmosphere of Serenity Oaks, a 5 1/2 acre nature-lover's paradise, nestled in a hidden valley, across from Blossom Valley at the Lake Jennings Park Road Exit off of HWY 8 in Eastern El Cajon. Features rapid access to downtown El Cajon, a 15 minute drive to Santee, Tierra Santa, or the College area, 22 min to Mission Valley, and 26 min to downtown San Diego (more during traffic hours). COMMON AREAS: The house, remodeled in 2016, features a large front deck, a mountain view, partially vaulted ceilings, designer ceiling fans, and imported Italian tile floors that people swear are wood, but are so easy to clean. The charming formal dining room centers around a banded mahogany table, comfortable leather and wood chairs, and large rock fireplace with an architectural cherry mantelpiece and matching bookcases. The roomy country kitchen has granite countertops, hardwood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. A large living room boasts several seating areas, is furnished in tasteful art, antiques, and a comfy overstuffed leather couch and love seat. DECK: A flower filled front deck features a mountain and creek view, offers comfortable seating and provides the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or tea, allowing you listen to the water tumble by in our seasonal creek. GROUNDS: The grounds provide many choice locations to appreciate nature, eat a good meal, enjoy a book, or explore the cyber world with your phone or laptop. Enjoy a picturesque walking bridge, a lower firepit seating area, a stone dining table and designer chairs, and a tile picnic table with matching benches, all in the shade of massive 100 year oak trees. When evening comes, watch the sunset set flame to the nearby mountains, and enjoy a sky studded with stars NEARBY TRAILS & PARKS: A short 10 min walk brings you to a nature preserve and hiking trail. Nearby parks include Lake Jennings, Lindo Lake, El Monte Park, and Flynn Springs Country Park. WILDLIFE: Includes wild turkeys, raccoons, a fox, coyotes, squirrels, rabbits, hawks, owls, orioles, bluebirds, mourning doves, and many others. We also have 2 mini horses and a mustang. RENT: All this can be yours for a very reasonable $1295 a month and $75 for monthly utilities.
