About This Home
Hello Everybody! My name is Trevor, my wife Jennifer and I own a duplex on 5th st in NE Minneapolis near Logan Park. We are looking to rent out the bottom half of our duplex starting as early as June 1st. Pictures show the unit. Living above you in the upper unit are Cody and Amanda. They are quiet, easy-going, and early to bed and early to rise. Ideally we would like to find tenants who live a similar lifestyle to Cody and Amanda simply because it is most likely to work out well for everybody. The home has a front porch to sit out on and enjoy a pleasant morning, as well as a concrete patio out back for having an outside table or dining area. We do allow and encourage cats in the lower unit where you will be renting, however we do have a pet fee of $50 a month for the first pet or $75 for two, with a two pet limit. We are not currently accepting dogs. We love pets! It's just that they are hard on a home, so we request an additional fee to help with that. As for utilities, we cover water and trash. Gas and electric are split, so you pay for what you use, and Cody and Amanda will pay for what they use There is an in-unit dishwasher and all appliances are new and updated stainless steel. The laundry is shared and in the basement, you have direct access to the basement without having to go outside. The bathroom has been renovated recently as well. We do require renters insurance for all of our renters. It is extremely inexpensive (as in $5-10 a month), but it makes sure both of us are protected if anything were to happen. All major insurance providers have renters insurance. If in doubt, I would just call whoever provides your car insurance and ask them. Our little neighborhood on 5th street is fantastic, just a couple blocks from the Logan Park which boasts tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a big open grass area that they fill in with ice rinks in the winter. Please, if you have read this, include the word "elephant" in your message to us as well as a reason you think this is a good fit for everyone. We will prioritize anyone who includes "elephant" because it proves to us that you have taken the time to read and consider what we have taken the time to write, and we really appreciate that. We want this to be a good fit for everybody! Please also share a little information about yourself and anyone else who is planning on renting the unit so we can get to know you a little bit (working? a student? schedule? hobbies? lifestyle? etc.) If you are interested in taking care of lawn and snow we will reduce rent by $50 a month, and we would prefer to find someone who is interested as it will save me from having to drive over to take care of it after we move out. Please reach out with any questions! We hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for reading! Trevor

Minneapolis lives up to its “City of Lakes” nickname, with thirteen lakes woven into the city, all connected by the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway. Miles of trails make it easy to bike, run, or relax outdoors, while neighborhoods bring their own distinct personality. Uptown sits near Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles, the North Loop features trendy shops and warehouse-style apartments near Target Field, and the Northeast Arts District blends galleries with lively taprooms. Near the Mississippi River, Dinkytown borders the University of Minnesota campus, while Downtown’s enclosed skyway system helps residents stay connected during the city’s freezing winters.
The Minneapolis rental market offers a range of options, from modern high-rise apartments and loft-style communities in the Mill District to classic townhomes in Longfellow.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
