Apartment Reviews at 13Ten
This is the perfect location if you want to be away from the city but close enough to get there in 15-20 minutes. The area is very friendly and welcoming. Stone mountain park is walking distance and is very convenient. You want to move over here if you are looking for something affordable and nice at the same time. You will not be disappointed I can guarantee it.
STAY AWAY!!! I just moved into apartment 1998 and the entire building is infested with rats. The rats are going inside our pantry eating everything and pooping everywhere inside the kitchen. There is also a horriable smell that will not go away. The leasing agent Jose moved me and my roommate into this apartment knowing it was infested with rats because the tenant before moved out for the same reason. When we went to the office to break our lease we were told we could move without any penalties but we would not get any money back. When asked if we could be transferred to another building because me and my roommate do not have the money to put down on another apartment we were told nothing was available and there is a 200 dollar transfer fee THE NERVE!!!! We have given this apartment complex over a thousand dollars and was not even living there a month. We would recommend everyone NOT TO MOVE HERE OR DO ANY SORT OF BUSINESS WITH LANDMARK. They will just take your money and leave you with no where to go.
Someone was shot and killed by police in the apartment above me when I wasn't home, and the property management never informed anyone in the community. My neighbors are the ones that told me along with two other people being shot in the past month in the complex. I'm moving next month because between the maintenance issues and crime, it's inhabitable.
RUN this is not for you
Do not stay here. They are thieves and the complex is not very well maintained. I had rats, roaches and countless work orders for things to be fixed prior to me entering the apartment. I am still working on paying due to an illegal entrance of my apartment that set the alarm off. All they had to do was call which I stated on each work order. Always go in to make orders to ensure accuracy. Again DON'T STAY HERE!!!. P.S. The drugs being used is the least of your worries.
Don't Judge a Book by it's Nice Cover...It isn't always what it seems...
When I first arrived at Landmark at Mountain View I was surprised at how much foot traffic they were getting in the leasing office. Everything looked so nice and well decorated, we were taken on a tour and shown a villa style apartment. They had a well maintained tennis court, pool, racquet ball court, lots of appealing amenities. Since this review has a limited amount of characters I can use, to put it shortly I will say that the leasing management gets into no hurry to answer phones, respond to emails, or really give you any helpful information once they received your money/deposit to begin a leasing application/process. Once you are actually a resident, the staff gets in no hurry to come out and fix anything that they don't consider an "emergency". I went 3 days without air conditioning in September because it wasn't an emergency unless a heat advisory was in effect. Almost every pipe in my unit has leaked or is still leaking at this point (2.5 weeks after move in). One of the drawers in my bathroom is completely rotted, and to fix it, they just put on a new knob hardware and let that be it, it is completely non-usable. I'll just say that the place may look nice upon first glance, but I would recommend that you look elsewhere when considering a new place to call home. This place isn't worth your time. I am 120% certain that after my 12 month lease is up, I will not be coming back to this place.
You get what you pay for :-(
I moved into a two bedroom and signed a year lease, and I am definitely ready to leave. The buildings aren't kept up and the maintenance doesn't respond in a timely matter. We have had so many issues with this place, from the broken, leaking kitchen sink to the AC unit that was never installed to the leaking roof and water stains in the ceiling. There is also a downpour of water that we have to run through to get through the threshold of our apartment door every time it rains :-/. There has also been one break in since I've lived here, probably because the gate doesn't work despite that they make you pay for a gate card you never get. I'm only here because of my financial situation but definitely would have never moved in if I knew it would be this bad :(. Go somewhere else if you can!!
Landmark at Mountain View
I give my apartment 3 size because I love the floor plan and I love the price. I have a two bedroom townhouse for 685 a month. The reason why its not 4 or 5 stars is because customer service is horrible. They never answer maintenance requests in a timely manner and it's hard to reach someone via phone.
Ever wondered how life can be more wonderful if you didnt have to wake up in the middle of the night every hour because something just crawled up your legs.sometimes you get really frustrated that you have to wear double socks to bed. A one bedroom apartment, really small to fit more than two people.moving in was easy but staying in has been war, especially at night. Ive tried to get ride of these obnoxious creeps similar in look to a centipede but they seem to creep out from every corner. I was told the summer is their season, well summer happens to be my season too.season to lay down naked on the bed and enjoy my sleep but because of these selfish creepy objects,I lay fully clothed all night wishing I could help the situation. Well, since other apartments closer to mine are really expensive,I can only complain and just lay there on my bed watching after my own body.
Don't let these fake positive reviews fool u!
These apartments are garbage!! You're paying way to much money for some hole in the wall! They never answer the phone at the leasing office, they take they're time coming to fix major issues! There is always someone shooting and just last week many cars got broken into and 1 was stolen! The security sucks! They don't ride around at night knowing darn well that's when the action happens! They ride around early in the morning pretending like they're patrolling something but clearly everyone either at work or sleep during the day! Im completely fed tf up with these apartments I can't wait until my lease is up in October! I recommend no one to pay the extra high amount of money for these raggedy, beat up, roach infested, crackheaded infested, hole in the wall apartments its not worth it!?? Its a trap! Literally!!!!
Spacious but old
My apartment is spacious with a lot of natural light. It has charm but lacks updated building materials. The bugs are bad in summer and drafty in winter. The security gate broken for years. Their have been robberies and fatalities. I want to find the space and natural lighting but with safety and better maintenance and upkeep.
Landmark at Mountain View
Maintenance reports take forever if at all, but spacious, inexpensive apts
I Have now lived in the Land Mark At Mountain View for a month now and I am very displeased. The Staff is great but it takes forever for he maintenance to come and fix an issue at your home. The neighborhood is nice and they leasing agency keeps the property up to pair overall my experience here has not been all bad I just wish maintenance moved a little faster with fixing things.
If you can't afford it, don't move here. There are gun shots every other night. 911 will place you on hold when you give them your address. Security barely speaks English and are never around when the shooting is going on. The only thing good about this place is the price and honestly there is no price worth not knowing if bullets will come flying through your window.
I normally don't like writing bad reviews. With the current apartment I do like the layouts of the apartment, but the area has to much negative activity. I was recently broken into (no forced entry- a key was used). I went to management on the situation and it was handled poorly with no consideration for their tenants. I know things happen and you can not control others action but if you are managing an apartment home complex, you should make sure that your tenants feel at home. Especially when we pay want us to pay our rent on time, then you should work in a timely manner when requests are put in as well. So my point is currently I would not recommend these apartments until the come with better management and security procedures on how the handle situations.
The absolute worst
Please do not be fooled by the fresh coat of paint, this apartment complex is absolute trash. I am convinced that the only reason for the name change is because of all the negative reviews surrounding the "Landmark at Mountainview". Take it from someone who just recently moved out, this is one of the most horrendous places you could pick to lease. For starters, the management team is completely unprofessional. This is not the unprofessionalism that is a minor inconvenience to your day when you are forced to interact with them. This form of unprofessionalism will ruin your day, week or month. Unlike other properties where you can simply ask to speak to the manager or deal with another staff member, here at 13Ten every employee, manager and maintenance personnel all woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The attitudes that you will have to deal with regarding simple issues like; bugs, broken light fixtures, etc. will make you want to cry. In all of my years, I have never experienced a complete disregard for tenants. Oh yeah, they also lose your documents! All the time! Yes, that's right! The documents that contain things like your SSN and address. After they inform you that they somehow misplaced your money order for your rent, notice to vacate, or security deposit, they feel that it is your responsibility to rectify the situation. For example, at the beginning of my second month living there, I received an eviction notice. How is this possible you ask? Someone in the leasing office lost my first months rent. The second example, someone also lost my 60- day notice to vacate! Correction, they lost both of my notices to vacate. After which they sent my parents threatening emails about an unauthorized move-out. I was even forced to stay an extra month past my leasing date because of this issue. Also, they don't keep concrete office hours. They are supposed to hold Saturday office hours, specifically when the first of the month falls on a Saturday, but the staff will close the door and leave the office whenever they see fit. Also, the property is pretty disgusting! If you read all of this and still decide to visit take your own tour around the entire complex, not just the parts they show you!
honesty honesty honesty
These apartments are pretty decent to be in the area. The upkeep is ok, management is great. That's just my opinion. Also their floor plans at pretty big. Great for a first apartment, great for a small family. Great for a single person also.
Don’t move here!!!!!
I speak to Isaiah and he tells me what they have available and I choose an apartment. I ask if I can see the unit I’m moving into and he says he can’t let me see it until I pay my deposit I go to Kroger and get a money order. He then tells me that the apartment has to be cleaned so I can’t see it that day but if I come back the week of my move in day (December 29th) I can. That week no ones is answering the phone. I leave several voicemails. danielle calls me on the morning of dec 29th to make sure I’m still moving in that day (duh) she tells me to come between 3-5 to get my key. I leave work and no one acknowledges me for about 20 min.I wait another hour for my “keys to be made” and then victor comes and tells me that my apartment isnt ready because it needs new carpet and to be painted. i explained to him that my current lease ends on December 31st and it can’t be extended. He makes all types of excuses about it being the holidays, and he tells me to come back on Tuesday Jan. 2nd at 12pm to speak with a manager and it should be ready. I come on Tuesday and wait another 45 min for him to tell me the manager is in a meeting all day and my apartment STILL isn’t ready. I am LIVID bc again I missed work and still have no place to live. I ask for my deposit and admin fee back and victor tells me he can’t give it to me without the manager. He says he will have her call me before the office closes and of course I never get a call and no one answers when I call. I call twice today Wed January 3rd and I’m put on hold for about 20 min each time with the manager refusing to come to the phone. Finally I leave work AGAIN and go to the leasing office where victor has the nastiest attitude like I’m inconveniencing him when I am the one with no place to live. He gives me back my deposit but not my admin fee and tells me “THEY” aren’t going to refund that to me so AGAIN I ask for a manager and he tells me to lower my voice because I’m not speaking to a child and also threatens to call security. he finally attempts to get the manager and she refuses to come out of the office. I am then approached by another rude lady named Theresa She insists that she is trying to help me so I reluctantly explain the situation and she also tells me that “they” won’t refund my admin fee because the company already paid for it EVEN THOUGH I DONT HAVE A HOME. Every time I was in that office there was always an angry tenant in there and this horrible staff was treating them the same way
Run for your life
I've lived here a year, I've not had any issues, knock on wood but since the new management company and new renovations it's gotten really horrible. Gun shots, gang activity, it's really gotten very scary, no security, my lease is up and honestly I'm so terrified.
THE WORST PLACE I'VE EVER LIVED!!
I want to begin by saying I cannot wait to leave this complex!! My last day is next weekend Thank Goodness. Stay away from here! Prices are cheap but the leasing staff is horrible. So rude and they don't even try to help. They lose your Money Orders when you pay rent and try to say that you never paid! Also if you put in a maintenance request don't expect it to be done until 2 or 3 months later. Also there are guys that walk around with guns on their hips and there are gun shots all of the time. The "Security Guard" is a joke. Not even there half of the time and leaves his Patrol Car parked by the entrance. This whole place is a joke, stay away!!!
Pest control is a joke. Management blames it on your neighbors. The outside is being repaired to look nice to trick people into moving to the community. They will show you a nice model with upgraded appliances and move you into a unit far in the back of the complex with outdated features. Management told me, if I want updated appliances like the pictures advertise on the website, I have to pay extra for them as part of an updated appliance package fee. The pool has not been opened at all this summer due to maintenance issue according to new management company. The ancient dishwasher in the unit does not work. I sent an email to the leasing office about my concerns and I never got a response. When your lease is up they will try to increase your rental amount by about $100.
Wish I didn't have to give a star to write a review
I tried to look past being moved into a roach infested unit that took 2 months to clear up. The siding is made of wood which is infested with roaches. Yea my place might not be infested but they still get in from time to time. I'm over this whole experience. People dont pick up after their dogs and the whole neighborhood smells like dog poop. Building crawling w bugs, you have to run past waterbugs to get to your door. Grounds full of trash that the neighbors drop. High crime, hard to contact. Smells come from the drains.
The worst stay away
This is the worst apartment complex you can ever move into... Maintence is horrible and they steal... they never pick up the phone... you hear gun shots every night... you cant talk to a property manager and they rip you off on rent so keep receipts at all times
Do Not Live Here
We have had issues with maintenance either not showing up when told by management or called by us personally for multiple massive leaks. Because no one showed up to take care of it, mold grew, the carpet was soaked for days and water damage in the ceilings and walls occurred. It has been weeks to more than a month and it has still not been addressed whatsoever. Our apartment is not the only one with complaints such as ours. Management never answers the phone, and if someone DOES answer the phone they only tell you that the current manager is unavailable every single time you call. A man was shot and his body left near our apartment as well, and the so called security car doesn't leave its spot whatsoever any day you see it. If this was any other apartment complex it would have been condemned a long time ago for this unprofessional and life endangering behavior.
Tried to rent an apartment here and the staff was very friendly and helpful until they received our deposit. After that we could not get a return phone call or an email with information about our apartment. They finally emailed a lease agreement on the day we were supposed to move in, but the lease term, number of bedrooms, and price were all different than agreed upon. When we told them we no longer wanted to rent the apartment they refused to return our deposit, even though we had not signed a lease or anything else.
Landmark At Mountainview
If you are looking for an apartment in Stone Mountain then you should take a look at Landmark at Mountainview. It is a big community and has a great price for the apartments, villas, and townhomes. They are available 7 days a week and has maintenance onsite for your needs.
This Place Is a Joke
I have had so many problems with my apartment since the day I moved in. Several things have not worked since Day 1, I made complaints about them the say I moved in and to this day no one has come a fixed them yet. My heat stopped working in December and I have made more than 5 complaints, and it still hasn't been fixed, I was sick for two weeks because of it. I can barely stay in my apartment, because it is ridiculously cold. The lock on my door has been messed up since Day 1. The service is horrible, no one picks up the phone, responds to emails or comes and fixes anything at all. They will unlock your apartment for anyone without your consent as well.
A Nightmare/Worse Living Imaginable
Moved out 12/01/2017.. Upon leasing; you don't get to view your unit; once you sign the lease the unit is out dated, the appliances were older than the constitution itself. The office staff and maintenance as well as on-site security isn't available. The late fee $100 after the 3rd; but online there isn't one until the 15th of the month and it's $17.50. Ripoffs!!!!! The grounds are unattended and trash everywhere. My unit flooded 3 times during my stay. Unit was infested with BLACK TOXIC MOLD. Injuries from May through September about TOXIC MOLD. Finally sent a MOLD specialist to remove the mold which covered 65% of unit after I left my doctor.... I took pictures each month the BLACK MOLD persist and video the specialist for my own purposes... My 2016 charger was stolen out the parking lot while unloading to move into the unit.. Shooting is a normal sound at all times of the day and night. This place should have been rename to Friday the 13ten it's a total nightmare. I wouldn't recommend anyone with decency and morals to lease here... NEVER judge a book by its cover..IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!!! Stay Woke
Great place to live quite 1 bedroom very spacious nice upgrades. my 1st apartment and I'm loving everything about it!!!
An Awesome Place to live!!!
I love my community because the staff is awesome! My neighbors are very friendly. My community has so much to do as well; I can go relax at any of the five pools on property, or go play tennis at either tennis court. Perhaps work up a sweat at the fitness center, or do a little web surfing at the business center, or just take my dog to the pet friendly doggie park. I absolutely love where I live!
They don't fix anything in these apartments. I've had open work orders for months and they keep ignoring me despite me going into the office and complaining. Someone got shot in the building across from me last week. These apartments are overpriced and rundown despite them renovating them they are trashy.
If I Had A Dollar For Every Gun Shot
The gate doesnt work and there are gunshots every night no over exaggeration. The place though upgraded in the kitchen is just the sophisticated hood. If you even have to displeasure of getting a unit after they give you the run around, you are sure to be anxious about getting shot and thugs.
BELIEVE IN THESE REVIEWS
This was the most bad worst horrible embarrassing unprofessional place of business that i have dealt with. This is worst than Comcast Customer Service. I was suppose to move in on July 13th to be told that they extended there move out to the 31st. But not until i decided to pop up because they don’t answer their phones and they do not return phon calls or emails. Decide to wait anyways to be told that ohhh they are uber eviction and got to wait 7 days before we could throw things out and then it would be ready by the 31st. The 31st is here and this place did not have my apartment ready. First of all i did not suppose to have carpet. The bathroom did not have floors . Patio door had no door knob. AC did not work. Dirt everywhere . Walls were not gray. To ask me what’s wrong when i got back to the leasing office. To then tell me after getting off the phone that they’re not removing the carpet . I kid you not i have no more energy for this and politely left. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. Every one need to vacate premises now. This would have been probably the 1st thing i regretted. DO NOT LEASE HERE WHAT SO EVER ... please don’t
My husband and I have lived here for 3 years, mainly because its a convenient location but this last year and a half have been absolutely awful and we will definitely NOT be renewing another lease. The new management company is beyond terrible, no one answers the phones, when you walk in the office no acknowledges you, they just act like they're busy or they walk away so they don't have to be bothered. When you put in a work order, and call about the status of it, no one in the office can tell you anything because like they will tell you, "We don't have a way to contact the maintenance people when they're on the property." Which makes absolutely no sense when I know for a fact they have their phone number. So when your AC \ Heat doesn't work during appropriate season it will take at least a month to fix unless you do it yourself like my husband and I had to do because apparently your emergency doesn't matter to them at all. Even when they come In your apartment UNANNOUNCED to fix a "leak" going downstairs from your apartment and turn off your AC and hot water heater and just leave without putting the cover to it back or turning anything back on and you leave work because they call you after they've already left and tell you they'll be back but don't come back even after you've called and went to the office several times about the situation and then when they finally come they "fix" half the issue... When you call the emergency maintenance number no one answers or returns calls or even puts in the work order. The "renovations" are a absolute joke because they aren't repairing anything, they're literally just making it look good. Majority of the buildings have server water damage, like mine, but all they did was paint over it... this whole complex is falling apart honestly. They don't even notify the residents about anything like you know, your water being cut off for a whole day or two because the pipes keep bursting... Just whatever you do, don't move here. We're beyond done with this place...
unprofessional staff in the office
the worse staff in the office are working they dont have manners included the manager just they want your app money they dont care anything bad maintenance they dont have emergency maintenance the manager get commissions for residents and figth residentes with her coworkers everything is a mess
Second time around
To put it lightly, I’m frustrated with the attention of the office staff working here. I almost rented a loft-style apartment from this property 1 year ago when it was still “Landmark at Mountain View.” Sadly, I walked in to inquire about renting the same apartment and I was greeted by a very unthusiastic woman named Carla. I wanted to tour a unit and see if the space is what I needed. She said “we don’t have a unit to show you,” and then she proceeded to just stare blankly at me until I had to ask her for more information on prices or even possibility’s of an apartment I wanted opening. She glanced down at her phone for 2 to 3 minutes and then handed me a paper with the pricing on it and continued in silence. Shouldn’t they keep a clean, showable unit for everyone to see? This visit alone has turned me away from renting with them. I thought they had turned a new page in the professionalism here...nope.
I'm only giving this building a star because it is required. The only thing that is going well for the apartment is that we haven't seen any bugs. The list of bad things is vast. For one, I've only been a resident for 3 months, in which I have had brown water coming from my faucet when I use hot water. In addition to that, the company randomly disconnects and reconnects the water without notice... today being one of those days and my daughters are returning to school tomorrow. Secondly, the electronic payment system is extremely outdated. Paying online takes 5-7 days to process, in which if you don't pay 5-7 days before the 3rd, you will incur a late fee. Next, there was a notice of vicious breeds of dogs that are not allowed, and those tend to be the only breeds that I have seen. 2 days ago I walked to the corner store with my daughter and feared for her safety as a young girl was being dragged by 3 pit bulls as her adult guardian walked behind her laughing. Lastly, maintenance. I awoke about 2 weeks ago to an employee of the company letting himself into my house un welcomed to check the fire detectors. My whole family was sleep, and that is beyond uncomfortable. If it weren't for credit reports against broken leases, my family would have never stayed here more than week 2, unfortunately, this was our only option at the time, and we cannot wait until our lease is fufilled so that we can leave this apartment in the past to never be revisited. Consider another apartment if not another area period.

City - Stone Mountain
One of Atlanta's most-loved suburbs sits at the base of the mountain that shares its name. Stone Mountain, Georgia has a charming downtown with historic architecture and brick-paved streets along a landscaped Main Street. Home to nearly 6,000 residents, Stone Mountain provides quaint neighborhoods, mature trees, and proximity to Atlanta.
The landmark mountain, however, is the star of this city. Stone Mountain is the largest granite rock face in North America. The face of the mountain features the world's largest bas-relief sculpture, and one of the oldest -- it predates Mount Rushmore.
