Neighborhood - Sugarloaf

Picture of Sugarloaf San Mateo

Sugarloaf

Sugarloaf is an area located approximately 24 miles south of San Francisco on the peninsula near San Mateo and Foster City. As one of the newest communities in this area, it features a lot of open, green space and a lower population density than the city itself, while still providing fast and easy access to San Francisco via public transportation or Highway 280.

This neighborhood is often linked with Laurelwood because they’re both part of the same 2.2-mile area of homes built largely in the 1960s and 1970s. The mountain Sugarloaf gives the subdivision its name.
