Situated on the North Peninsula, Ormond by the Sea is a roughly five-mile stretch of land between the Halifax River and the Atlantic Ocean. While the east of Ormond by the Sea is bounded by the Atlantic, the western side of the neighborhood borders the brackish waters of the Halifax River. Fishing piers and docks provide residents with adventurous outdoor fun as well as access to the preserved wetlands across the river. To get into mainland Florida, residents travel five miles south of town to cross over the river via the Granada Bridge.
