Property Ratings at 1131 North Byrne (MAIN)
Management only cares about money and has yet to return our security deposit despite telling us we would get it. It is illegal for them to hold it past 30 days of our lease ending, yet here we are more than 30 days later. Beyond this, they blamed us for problems that the last tenants left in the beginning of the lease.
Where do I begin? The issues began before we even moved in. I had to fill out the paperwork for this company 3 times because they sent me the wrong lease 3 times. Before moving in we were promised many renovations that never happened. When we moved in the house and yard were a mess. There was a huge trash pile in the front yard and back yard- like it had maggoty meat in it (that we were blamed for and asked to clean up). There was still dried vomit on the front door when we moved in that had been there when we toured months earlier. The maintenance people are decently nice but really seem to have no idea what they are doing. They would just mark work orders as complete even though they had not done them. It took them 6 months to replace a lightbulb. The entire time we lived there we never had a back door handle and the door would not lock. When the fridge broke they gave us ice and styrofoam coolers and said the new one would come in 2-3 weeks and offered no other solutions. It took them a month to acknowledge we needed a new dishwasher when I put in multiple work orders and called multiple times. The mulch they put down in the front yard had cockroaches in that got in the house. The neighborhood is infamous for bedbugs- which we got a week after the cockroaches :) In the winter they plowed and shoveled every other driveway but ours and tried to claim it was because we had cars blocking the driveway. Though I was the only person home at the time and I didn't own a car at the time and watched them skip over us. It's not that we were bad tenants. We all paid our rent on time and left the house in better condition than when we got it. We just expected and asked for the bare minimum that was stated in our lease and got sass when we asked for it. Everyone else that I know who has rented through this company has also had a bad experience. It is not worth the price or the headache. Even after we have moved out and our lease has ended the problems continue. They took autopay for a month past our lease and are being very difficult on giving it back to us.
