The detached covered veranda with seating by the lake is great for relaxing with a book. If soaking up the sun is preferred, you can either chill in the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit or lounge on the newly built, private pier/dock. Lake Norman is a large lake and ideal for boating and watersports. One pointed to the driveway and road and a second pointed towards the dock.
