This is not a roommate situation. Here you have a key to the front door and a key to your private room. Your relationship to your neighbors is similar to that you would have in an apartment building, that is to say, as friendly or as formal as you would care to make it, but you are sharing bathrooms with your neighbors.
This nice third floor room has high ceilings, wood floor, plenty of light and air. The room is clean. It has an Oriental style carpet. We provide basic furniture (bed, chair, desk) for no additional charge, if you want it. We do not have a kitchen, but we supply a refrigerator and microwave in your room, and there are a number of inexpensive restaurants in the area, including one open 24 hours. The rent is your entire housing cost because utilities are included.
The location is excellent. Easy access to San Francisco, downtown Berkeley, Berkeley City College, U.C. Berkeley, West Berkeley, National Holistic Institute, downtown Oakland, and other East Bay points. A free shuttle takes you to the MacArthur BART station, eight blocks away. The local bus stop (AC Transit 72) is one block away. The F bus, which circumnavigates the U.C. Berkeley campus stops one block away. Frequent AC Transit buses go to San Francisco and the Trans Bay Terminal. You can easily walk to Safeway, The Oaks Club, Arismendi Bakery, Bank of America, CVS Pharmacy, 7-Eleven, Panda Express, and Starbucks.
We are looking for good tenants who pay their rent on time, keep their room clean, are businesslike in their dealings with the manager, and courteous to their fellow tenants. This building is quiet, and we want tenants who like to keep it that way. Prospective tenants must fill out an application. We do credit and criminal checks.
