About This Home
The Lazo House offers a serene escape on the Llano River, nestled on 10 acres of unspoiled Texas hill country with pink granite outcroppings. This retreat includes four beautifully designed cabins, a barn, and a common house, making it perfect for family reunions, couple retreats, or corporate off-site gatherings. In this distinctive setting, guests can come together or enjoy solitude at their own pace. The main common house features a cozy living room with panoramic views, a 60-inch satellite LED-TV, Wi-Fi, a bunkroom with 2 full beds and 2 twin beds, a laundry room, and a full bathroom. The gourmet kitchen includes upgraded appliances, a gas oven/stove top, a microwave, 2 dishwashers, and all necessary cookware and utensils. Each cabin offers deluxe bedding, a full bathroom, tea and coffee service, and a patio. The newly renovated barn includes 4 twin bunk beds, a full bathroom, a foosball table, a dart board, a smart LED-TV, and a large living room. Pets are welcome with a fee, not to exceed 4 pets. Please clean up after your animals. There is a fire pit on site for guest use, and guests are kindly asked to bring their own supplies and extinguish any flames or coals after each use. For health, safety, and maintenance reasons, pets are strictly prohibited from entering the pool, with a $500 fine for violations. An excessive pool clean may be charged if necessary. The retreat rests on 10 acres along the Llano River, 10 miles west of the town of Llano and 70 miles west of Austin. A car is necessary for getting around the hill country. Nearby attractions include a great barbecue and general store 8 miles west in the village of Castell, TX, live music at Hilltop Cafe 30 miles northwest, and 4 wineries and a distillery in the Llano area. Smoking is not allowed, and gun shooting is prohibited on the property. The pool has no lifeguard on duty, so guests swim at their own risk. Children must be supervised at all times, and no glass is allowed in the pool area, with additional fees for violations. The pool heater may struggle to maintain temperature if it's below 45°F, and it cannot function below 35°F. The thermostat should not be set above 76°F for heating or below 68°F for cooling. This is a rural property, so encounters with wildlife such as birds, reptiles, and deer are common. Limited services compared to urban settings may affect cell phone and delivery services. To manage bugs, keep windows and doors closed and use the bug spray provided. Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Check-in requires reviewing and signing house rules and terms via the Guest App Link at least 24 hours before arrival.
