Property Ratings at 1070 Main Apartments
Got told to wait after a certain time on the move in date due to them “still getting the apartment ready.” Fireplace had cracks and markings on it, there was food in between the fridge and stove, the laundry door was scrapped up, bathroom was terrible. They don’t respond to emails and when you have an issue, they want you to submit an order that they close out and “complete” when nobody ever got the job done. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

I'm not sure how this has a 3.8 out of 5. This isn't a bad review because of one bad instance. This is a negative review because it's simply a negative place to live. As you'll read, the maintenance and upkeep are horrendous. You'll find dog poop, tires, trash, fireworks, beer bottles, and anything else scattered throughout all the landscaping. The trash compactor stays disgusting and/or full. The brown recluse issue is really bad. You can never get anyone on the phone. Or if you do get someone, they barely know what they're talking about. If you're looking for a safe place, please listen when I tell you...this ain't it.

I woke up Friday, May 5, 2017 with a golf ball sized brown recluse bite on my upper right thigh. I knew immediately what it was because I had been bit before and had all of the same symptoms. The bite TRIPLED in size in a matter of 3-4 hours and I was suffering from horrible nausea and fever, I had chills I couldn't get rid of, etc... I WAS SICK!!! I went to the doctor on that Friday. She confirmed that it DEFINITELY WAS A BROWN RECLUSE BITE and put me on antibiotics, prednisone and nausea medicine. The next day, (the bite was now baseball sized) I KILLED 2 MORE BROWN RECLUSE SPIDERS. By this point I had called the apartment complex and threw a wild-eyed fit, and it seemed to be no major concern to them. I walked into the office and showed them this EXTREMELY SWOLLEN, BASEBALL SIZED bite on my leg... but it seemed to be no big deal. They offered to have the exterminator swing by and spray the next time he was there on site... Every morning I wake up and this bite is at least an inch larger in diameter. On May 9th I was interviewed by FOX NEWS about the pictures of the bite they saw on facebook. I continued killing brown recluse spiders EVERY SINGLE DAY in my apartment 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW I went to climb into bed and pulled my bed covers back and there was a brown recluse spider IN MY BED - 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW - unmistakably brown recluses! I took pictures of one of the spiders while it was crawling on my bed and posted it to the apartment facebook page. No reply, empathy offered, no solution offered, no compensation offered. I've had to go spend the night somewhere else. There has NOT been one single day in the last week that I haven't found a brown recluse spider in my apartment. Their attitude about the whole thing has come across as passive and aloof. I feel that they are taking me as some kind of hypochondriac- when this bite FINALLY stopped getting larger (after about 5 days) it was about the size of a basketball! I am not joking. This has been horrifying. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'm not out to make anyone look bad, but If I can write this review and hopefully keep someone else from having to go through this nightmare, I will! Please pray for me that I make it out of here alive!!!!
1070 Main (used to be Arbors on Main) has made several renovations over the past year and has become a great place to live! All my neighbors really like the renovations so far, and the management company is really making this place into an amazing property. They are starting up interior renovations next year so it'll be an excellent community once all the renovations are completed! It's a quiet place, and very convenient location since it's beside the Vietnam Vets bypass, so it's easy to get to the grocery stores and shopping centers around the area. They also have courtesy officers that live onsite who you can actually call if you have any problems with anything, but it's a very safe area. Love living here!
I love it. I absolutely love them. they're clean, very well priced and just a really nice place to live.
I have lived in my apartments for a little over 2 months, and they are great! The neighbors are amazing, and the staff is definitely something to rave about! They have been doing upgrades and renovations since we've moved in, but they are great at starting after everyone has woken up, and stopped right before dark. The staff is very friendly and understanding, and I can definitely see myself here for a few years! I would recommend all my family and friends to come here!
I've lived here for almost 4 years and I'd say these are decent apartments. There are a lot of faults. They're in process of renovations on the outside to make the place look expensive, but my doors and windows have gaps and there's almost no insulation so my a/c and heat have to run constantly to keep up. Otherwise, its just a regular apartment. Nothing special I think.
I love my apartment! The apartments are close to the main roads, but far enough off of them that you don't have the traffic concerns. I have very few issues with noisy neighbors, the office personnel have always been friendly, attentive, and helpful. Maintenance, all though occasionally a little slow, does their very best to attend to problems as soon as possible. In urgent situations, (unfortunately I have had a couple) the response has been immediate. My apartment is not huge or incredibly fancy, but it is homey and I love my patio and my fireplace. All in all, these are good apartments at a decent rental rate for the area.
We have lived here for going on 3 years and we wanted a 3 bedroom but they said we need to wait another 1 and they went up on our rent for a 2 bedroom over $100 a month more. Too much money and not enough apartment.
it is a nice apartment overall. the people in the office are very nice. whenever we have something that needs to be fixed maintenance fixes it as soon as they can. there are a lot of kids in the building that i live in but i dont ever hear them. it is a really nice apartment complex.
I have lived in Arbors on Main for about 7 months now and I have been quite pleased. Overall, I've had a really great experience. The pool is open year round and is very nice. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, and LOTS of kids. Maintenance has been very responsive and helpful with any issues that have presented. As someone with a bonafide phobia of insects, I have been pleased to see very few. I live around a lot of kids, and I haven't really had any issues with being able to hear them, other than I can hear the people that live upstairs walking around from time to time. The facilities have been recently renovated and are pretty nice. It's in an ideal location to access the interstate. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking.
complex isnt the best, they are renovating but not so much in a good way and they are upping rent in a big way, which is so not worth it!
I've lived here for a year, and it's nothing special really. They're doing a lot of upgrades now which are great, but for the first two months of summer, we couldn't use the pool. The laundry room was unavailable for nearly six months during construction which was beyond obnoxious. Recently, they've been painting buildings, requiring maintenance guys to climb onto my third floor balcony - which would have been fine with some notice, but I was given none, and on three occasions I was surprised by maintenance guys while laying in bed. The parking lots BLEW in the winter. Other than that, it's been alright.
