About This Property
This is a 700+ square feet space on the third floor (exterior, private entrance) of an 1887 Old Louisville home. As an Air bnb for nearly three years it received all five-star reviews, was included in USA Today's list of America's Coolest Air bnbs, and was featured on design site Apartment Therapy. Strictly smoke free property inside and out. The good stuff: It has zoned, individually controlled heat and AC; a queen sized Tuft & Needle mattress; high quality linens; comfy chaise sofa and chair; smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime; shared wifi; a vintage restored electric stove; cookware and knives; a mini-sink, mini-fridge, coffeepot, and small microwave; dishes and basic cooking staples; a dining table that can double as work desk; record player; bar area; and a small private balcony overlooking our courtyard (which you're welcome to use) with a view toward downtown. You should know: -We have two friendly dogs. We discourage extraneous barking but you will certainly hear them from time to time. This will not make it ideal for third shift folks. -The stairs are extremely steep. If you have any fear of heights or vertigo this won't be for you. -There is not a dishwasher or laundry. There is a drop off laundry service in the neighborhood. Price: $1550 per month includes furnishings, electric/gas, water, wifi, enough staples and supplies for a few days (i.e. toilet paper, coffee, etc); and linens, including bath and kitchen goods. Basically just bring your suitcase and you're ready. Deposit: $600 Location: Old Louisville, a historic urban neighborhood just south of downtown. There's a beautiful, large, Olmsted-designed park a few blocks away and we're super close to many points of interest. This is the largest concentration of Victorian homes in the country. Transportation and parking: -A LouVelo bike share is around the corner, and the TARC bus line stops across the street. -Street parking is generally readily available (we're on a corner, which helps) -Norton Hospital is a seven minute drive, U of L Hospital, eight. -Driving distance: a large grocery store (Kroger) 10 minutes; urban public market with butcher/cheese/bakery and bodega (lots more when things re-open) 5 minutes drive, the Highlands neighborhood 10 minutes; Trader Joe's/Whole Foods/suburbs, 18 minutes; downtown/the riverfront 11 minutes. Pets: No cats, sorry. We will consider one dog if they're crate-trained, well-socialized with people and other dogs, and are not a nuisance barker. Your pup must be able to climb the stairs (for everyone's safety you can't carry them). The pet relief space is a small astro turf area inside our enclosed courtyard (and must be picked up every time), or a grass lot a block away. We require pet references and proof of vaccinations and flea/tick preventative. A one time pet cleaning fee of $50 will be added. Questions? Let me know! We're avid travelers ourselves and are happy to meet you and give you the lay of the land and suggestions, or will also happily respect your privacy.

Limerick is a historic preservation district situated a scant two miles southwest of downtown Louisville. Condo and apartment rentals heavily populate the east side of the neighborhood along the 6th Street area. College students walk or bike to Spalding University and Jefferson Community and Technical College, which lie a half mile apart.
Locals sip their java, enjoy free Wi-Fi and meet with their two- and-four-legged friends at the upbeat Smokey's Bean coffee shop. For a taste of nostalgia, slip on down to Dizzy Whizz, the curb-service drive-in serving the WhizzBurger since 1947. Locals enjoy four-course and six-course fine dining at 610 Magnolia, where fine wines and Kentucky bourbons complement the menus.
