First established in 1810, Harrison is home to several historic sites. The earliest home, the Eighteen Mile House, was built around 1800 as a tavern. Harrison was one of the cities located along the Whitewater Canal, with the section located here completed in 1843. Harrison is a close-knit community with a variety of events, such as the Friday Night Summer Movies, the Harrison City Wide Yard Sale, and Tuesday Night Summer Concerts.
