A Little Bit of Building History 10th Street Lofts in Downtown St. Louis MO is one of the original projects completed by the acclaimed Loftworks. 10th Street Lofts are near restaurants, entertainment venues, grocery stores like Schnuck's, Fields Foods and Green Leaf as well as many retail outlets. The warehouse-style lofts feature wood floors, large open spaces, high ceilings, large move-in elevator, concrete pillars and large open windows. The building was once a warehouse for the Merchandise Mart on Washington Avenue and a pillar of the Washington Avenue Garment District. Remnants of the skybridge walkways still exist on the sides of the 10th Street Lofts and Merchandise Mart (now the Lofts at 1000).
