About This Home
LAYOUT As a 2 bedroom apartment, the front room is a large studio with northwest-facing bay windows, and is separated from a common room by pocket doors. The common room hasfloor-to-ceiling windows and access to the rear bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen through a short hallway. The kitchen door, which is connected to the side porch, becomes the common entrance in this configuration. As a 1 bedroom apartment, the front room serves as a large living quarters connected to a sunny office, and a large bedroom with its attached bathroom. Plenty of room for entertaining. The 2 fireplaces are currently non-functional. We can discuss restoring them if you really want to use them. LAUNDRY You may either bring your own washer and dryer and use the existing hookups in the kitchen, or you may use the on-site laundry accessible through the basement cellar door located next to the side porch. There is also limited storage space available on-site. KITCHEN There are large cabinets for pantry items and cookware, a dishwasher, oven, stove, garbage disposal, and a refrigerator. PETS We are very flexible on pets. Most dogs, cats, and other small pets are welcome. We do disallow the following breeds that have been deemed high-risk by many insurance companies: -Pit Bulls -Rottweilers -German Shepherds -Chows Chows -Doberman Pinschers -Wolf Hybrids -Akitas -Presa Canarios -Staffordshire Terriers -Mastiffs -Cane Corsos -Great Danes -Alaskan Malamutes -Siberian Huskies RENT Monthly rent is currently $940. Utility costs are currently $195. They are shared by all units in the house, are adjusted for square-footage, and are reassessed 6 months based on costs from the previous year. (The cost of utilities for this year’s spring-summer period is based on the cost of utilities from last year’s spring-summer period.) INTERESTED? Message me! There is no application fee. If you are interested in a showing, I will need the following information for a preliminary screening: -Permission to do a background and credit check. -Full legal names and birthdays of all tenants. -Income the past three years as shown on tax returns (You can estimate this for now but I'll need tax return verification prior to move-in.). -Additional sources of income that do not show up on tax returns. -Current and expected income next year. -Rental history over the past two years. -Desired move in date. After approval, the deposit is $940, and it will need to be collected before you receive your keys to the unit.
