Forest Grove Apt 1 is where it's at!!!
To be honest, I was a little hesitant to move here, since it was farther away from my school. But, I am so glad I decided to move here with my friends. Before any of us moved in, we had the opportunity to check out the place, and I was never more relieved that this was going to be our new home. With lively families as neighbors and new hardwood floors, I knew I wanted to keep it as clean as we first found it. There is tons of natural light, so we'll definitely save money on that PG&E bill! Laundry on-site and a shopping plaza 2 minutes away- what more could I ask for?
Good place for family
Easy to access to 280. Good place commute SF downtown. Usually I took around 15-20min. There has some of bus stop for going Daly City Bart Station. Peaceful and quite town. Even you can walk to sea cliffs and watching sunsets. Various shopping malls located near hear. This place has 24hours patrol and some of service. Also they are so nice and kind. Quite reasonable renting price in Bay Area. Only thing that You have to be careful is NOISE. This building is really bad at soundproof . If you are unlucky and live next to noisy neighbors you're life gonna suffer from that seriously. This place has plenty of free parking place. But it's not guaranteed place for all of the residents. If you want to be free from finding parking spot, rent private garage from rent office. It's around $75~$95 per month. Prices gonna depends on whether the garage has door or no. It's cheaper than other apartments' garage price.
It's a decent living space
The exterior of the apartment looks aesthetically pleasing. However, do not let that fool you until you take a look at the interior of the apartment. The interior of the apartment is much older than the exterior. Additionally, the sanitation of the place is tad bit on the dirtier side. However, there are plenty of shopping opportunities and bus stops to enjoy and commute from. A pervasive amount of SFSU students live at this complex, so this may be a plus or downfall, depending on how you look at it. Overall, it's a pleasurable yet expensive experience to stay at Westlake Villages
turn around dont rent atWestlake village
the the fact that rent is going increace every year, (200) kitchen doesn't have a bent when you're cooking press room does not have a vent also you have a window. A window that when you do your privet things. anyone walking up the stairs could see you. cooking anything in the kitchen will make your entire apartment smell like food, your clothes differences they're all smell like whatever you cook from last night. security have a power trip he thinks his a cop. and when you try to express your concern, he would tell you you should call the office first and And go to certain protocols ? (what). and they will send me to where you have complaint. but yet they think and act like their cops. appartment contract? You shouldn't read through it. cause everything has a price like if you what a spot at the apartment parking you should pay. and when you what to cancel you would have to give them 30 days notice before canceling or they will charge you. example I rented a storage space they give it to me no question ask and pro rate the charge but when I canceled the storage about a year later then what a 30days notice. they will not cancel you space until you give them 30days notice. that will continue charging from your monthly rent. they will not pro rate any from when you what to cancel, that goes desame on your apartment contract.I could go on and tell you more
You Get What You Pay For
Relatively cheap. Actually, pretty good rooms considering the price. Great location right next to a major shopping center and public transit going into San Francisco. My biggest issue with living here is that their "security" services are a joke. Thankfully the neighborhood is pretty safe as it is, and there is a heavy police presence, but as far as issues in the building, security gets an F. Noise complaints? Suspicious neighbor? Missing mail? Deal with it, because they won't help you at all. I have called security a time or two for a neighbor who plays music LOUD seemingly every night and they just don't seem to care. If you move into Westlake, bring some assertiveness with you, because you will have to act was your own security.
Worst apt ever. Cannot wait until my lease is up...
Westlake Village Apartment, Daly City,94015
The location and environment is good close to mall and transportation, but its very expensive I'm retired and I lived with fixed income its hard to survived these days.
high rental fee we cant afford it no more bcoz we doesnt have enough salary to pay all the bills :(
Not a horrible place to live, but...
Comfortable living, but walls/doors are thin and can hear EVERYTHING.
Overall I really like these apartments. I've been living in the Westlake community since 2011 (I've moved around every year within the community.) The rent raise is just ridiculous, being the reason why I've moved around each year. It's just crazy because it's pretty affordable compared to other apartments in the area. The three stars are for location, convenience, and overall safety. The three reasons I've stayed. Parking is a complete nightmare! In order to have a pleasant experience here, purchasing parking is essential! An extra $95/$100 per month, but in my opinion it's so worth it. Also, depending on the location, skunks and raccoons are present once it gets dark! This is another reason why I decided to purchase parking. If you're looking for a place in Daly City this is a great place! Shopping and grocery stores are nearby, close to tons of touristy places, and filled with families so the neighborhood vibe is there. It might seem pricey, but when compared to other places in the area it's not too bad! Happy apartment searching! :)
Westlake Village Apartment Review
Living in Westlake Village Apartments has been both an easy and wonderful experience. The apartments surround the Westlake Shopping Center which has grocery stores, restaurants and convenience stores. Also, there are various bus stops for commuters and the apartments are located next to Daly City Bart. The maintenance staff is amazing! They are open til 1 am, so if anything breaks they are open to fixing it right away. The administration office is willing to answer any question and is always very polite. This place is great for commuters and students, plus the prices are reasonable for the area.
Safe & Convenient
There is a great sense of safety in this complex that is hard to find anywhere these days. Kids playing and friendly faces everywhere. It is located conveniently next to retailers like Safeway, Trader Joes and Waglreens in addition to many others. Whether it be a bite to eat of just a gaze at the beautiful golf course that surround us. A truly great place to live!
Great area. Very secure and very quiet. However, there is no enough parking. Or i pay parking. Expensive rent too for a studio apartment. Well, it is in the bay area of San Francisco!
Yay or Nay?
Great place for students to rent not so much if you are on a tight budget but close access to transportation, schools and shopping center. The staff aren't the most welcoming and honestly I think they need to replace a few of their employees but overall they are helpful in any way they can. I don't feel their prices are worth what you receive but like I said it is close to school for college students and transportation so u don't really need a car.
Westlake Village Apartment
This apartment is really nice and the space is big enough. The city is really calm & the apartment is close by school, which is good. However, I'm from Los Angeles & rent isn't compare to nothing here in San Francisco. I'm a college student & it's a hassle for me to pay rent. However, I really love it here and want to continue living here !

Neighborhood - Westlake
Located in Daly City, a southern area of San Francisco, Westlake was one of the first post-World War II suburbs in the United States. Frequently compared to Levittown, New York, this area isn’t known for its architectural beauty or individuality. In fact, folk singer Malvina Reynolds wrote her anti-conformity anthem “Little Boxes” about Westlake in the 1960s.
However, Westlake has become a neighborhood offering quality schools and a quiet, family-oriented location to raise kids while remaining close enough to the city to enjoy its culture, restaurants and attractions. Westlake can be found about nine miles from San Francisco’s city center.
