Living in Uptown Square
I moved here from Sioux Falls, SD in December 2014, I thought Minneapolis was going to be super crazy in comparison to Sioux Falls SD, its affordable, its quiet, safe, and close to everything. I wouldn't want to move .
Nice apartment, good price for location
The best part of these apartments is definitely the location. The apartments surrounding it are very expensive (1500 for one bedroom). There is a grocery store right across the street, plenty of bars within walking distance, shopping, and a lot of nice restaurants. The apartments themselves were renovated recently so they are pretty nice. The kitchen isn't huge but it is new which makes up for that. Neighbors aren't too loud which is nice and there is also free off street parking which is rare for uptown.
Better price than the apartments in the area. However, some of the apartments have very little natural light and thin walls.

The heart of the West Lyn-Lake neighborhood beats at the intersection of Lyndale Avenue and Lake Street. This intersection and the surrounding area create a diverse, lively commercial district in south Minneapolis. Directly to the east of the Uptown district, it lays about 2 miles south of downtown. Neighboring communities include Calhoun Lake and the Bryn Mawr neighborhood. Residents find it a convenient location near downtown employment and entertainment and the Chain of Lakes.
This neighborhood embraces a funky attitude. With an energetic vibe and a lively arts scene, the neighborhood centers on the arts. Music and literary activities abound, as do an active theater and comedy community. West Lyn-Lake brews its residents beer, creates the music they listen to and the tattoos they sport — all within walking distance of the residential areas. The district contains ethnic restaurants and LGBT establishments.
