Canyon Country

Canyon Country, the easternmost of the four communities making up the city of Santa Clarita, is an affordable, family-friendly area located in the Santa Clarita Valley to the north of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. With low crime rates and a sense of space, new residential developments have popped up throughout this area over the last few decades, and young families flock here for the affordable housing and good schools.

Canyon Country sits about 10 minutes east of Valencia, where most of Santa Clarita's shopping and entertainment venues reside. It's located 36 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, meaning a regular commute typically takes over an hour. However, many residents of the Santa Clarita Valley work locally in the region's burgeoning aerospace manufacturing and bio-medical businesses, as well as in the outposts of L.A.'s entertainment industry centered here.
