The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana provide three major programs to fulfill their mission:

• Ronald McDonald Houses - Provide a "home away from home" for the families of children being treated at local hospitals. Three Houses in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area provide comfortable and supportive lodging for these families during their time of greatest need. The Houses serve as a temporary residence near the hospital where families can sleep in their own room, prepare meals and eat in House dining areas, relax in comfortable living spaces and find support from other families in similar situations.

• Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles
  - The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a state-of-the-art, custom designed vehicle that provides very cost-effective dental care to underserved children in their own neighborhoods. Incorporating two patient exam rooms and a reception area, its focus is to provide education, initial screening, diagnosis, primary care treatment and follow-up for serious dental needs.

• Grants and Scholarships -
  Since 1987, RMHC-CNI has given grants totaling over $10 million dollars to 500 local not-for-profit groups a thousands of scholarships to children in local communities. These efforts help provide a higher quality of life in so many ways for those in need.
