Welcomes The Dallas Morning News to Unrivaled Affiliate Network Web site Launches to Dallas Market

CHICAGO and DALLAS - July 15, 2002 - and Belo Corp. (NYSE: BLC) announced today that The Dallas Morning News has joined the affiliate network of, the leading online real estate rental site of Classified Ventures, LLC. This new arrangement strengthens the partnership forged when Belo purchased an equity interest in Classified Ventures last fall.

The Dallas Morning News, Belo's largest newspaper, with a Sunday circulation of more than 776,000, and its corresponding Web site,, will provide its powerful promotional engine to, expanding the company's extensive newspaper network to cover 36 of the top 50 DMAs. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas is host to more than 2.5 million renters, the third largest renter population in the country, which includes the Dallas rental real estate market.
