Located at 1900 Elm and St. Paul, one of the most desired sites in the city, the Titche-Goettinger cost the unheard of sum of two million dollars to build. Designed by prominent Dallas architect, George I. Dahl, impressive Renaissance Florentine palazzo-style building was constructed with classic styling, distinctive Texas motifs, and elaborate art deco detailing throughout. Today, one of Dallas' original broad-front department stores still stands at 1900 Elm with its dignity and beauty intact. Nearly seven decades after it first opened in 1929, 1900 Elm, the Titche-Goettinger building will make history once again.

Transformed into 129 loft-style residential apartments with an expansive first-floor retail concourse, 1900 Elm has kept its historical and architectural appeal. Ranging in size from 492 square feet to 2685 square feet, each open, airy, loft-style apartment is designed around original architectural elements. Each one is different from the rest. Some feature fabulous arched windows with panoramic city views. Others have floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the building's spectacular open-air atrium. Many feature original 150-foot columns adorned by ornate crown moulding, as well as authentic casement windows. No matter where you look at 1900 Elm, you'll see fascinating echoes of the past. Yet, modern conveniences abound as well. Contemporary, all-electric kitchens, tiled baths, and varied flooring are standard in every apartment. Washer/dryer connections are standard in most. Additionally, every apartment has "exclusive access" to the building's own underground garage.

Residents of 1900 Elm find much to enjoy without ever leaving the building. Our first floor features a limited-access entry to the Dallas Underground, a tunnel system that links major downtown business.
