APARTMENTS.COM “ROOM TO MOVE” CONTEST
VOID IN ALASKA, HAWAII, TENNESSEE, U.S. TERRITORIES, U.S. MILITARY INSTALLATIONS, AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW

1. SPONSOR

The Apartments.com Room To Move Contest ("Contest") is sponsored by Classified Ventures, LLC, 175 West Jackson Boulevard, 8th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60604-2601 ("Sponsor").

2. ELIGIBILITY

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Tennessee, U.S. territories and U.S. military installations) and the District of Columbia, who are at least 21 years of age and no more than 30 years of age as of April 3, 2006 (“Entrants”). Void in Alaska, Hawaii, Tennessee, U.S. territories, U.S. military installations, and where prohibited by law. To be eligible, the Entrant (“You”) must live with Your parent(s), grandparent(s), brother(s), step-brother(s), sister(s), step-sister(s), uncle(s), aunt(s), or first cousin(s) (either by blood or through legal adoption or marriage) in the residence submitted for consideration as of April 3, 2006 through July 30, 2006. Entry must be submitted with the prior knowledge and consent of all inhabitants of the Entrant’s residence. Entrants and their residences must be located in the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Tennessee, U.S. territories and U.S. military) or District of Columbia. (LIMIT: One entry per residence. In the event of a second entry from the same residence, only the first entry received will be eligible. Employees of Sponsor, its parent companies (Tribune Co., Knight-Ridder, Inc., Gannett Co., Inc., Belo Corp., the Washington Post Company, and McClatchy, Inc.), subsidiaries, affiliates, customers, advertising and promotion agencies, any Contest co-sponsors and those associated with the development, distribution or implementation of this Contest, and members of their respective immediate families (parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and their household members are not eligible.

As further described in Section 5 below, by entering, You agree to make Yourself available for promotional appearances (at Sponsor's cost and in accordance with Sponsor's expense policies) if selected as a potential Finalist and/or Winner. Each potential Finalist (see below) and each inhabitant of the potential Finalist’s residence must sign and return to Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility/publicity/liability release and confidentiality agreement within five (5) days after issuance of the Finalist notification. Each Finalist and each inhabitant of Finalist’s residence must grant permission to Sponsor and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies and Contest co-sponsors to use his/her name, address, biographical information, likeness, photograph, picture, voice, statements, and entry (including photos and essays) for administration of the second phase of this Contest and for promotional and publicity purposes in any and all media, including without limitation, television, radio, print, and the Internet, in perpetuity without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. In addition, each Finalist must provide proof of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.) as of April 3, 2006 at the residence entered into the Contest. If a potential Finalist or any inhabitant of the potential Finalist’s residence fails to execute and return required releases or proof of residency to Sponsor within the allotted time period, that Entrant will be disqualified and Sponsor will select as a replacement Finalist, the next-highest ranked eligible entry, as determined by the Contest judges, who complies with all Contest rules and requirements.

By entering, You agree to permit Sponsor to visit Your residence at a mutually agreeable time prior to the Finalist decision, for purposes of videotaping and interviewing inhabitants to verify authenticity and eligibility.

By entering the Contest, You affirm Your eligibility and agree to all these requirements.

3. PRIZES

One (1) Grand Prize with an approximate value of $21,500, including at least $19,000 in cash, will be awarded to the verified Grand Prize Winner (as defined below). As part of the Grand Prize, the verified Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) rental of any size of Budget Truck with free unlimited mileage including furniture pads and dolly (value up to $1,000), and boxes and packing supplies including all types of packing boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc. (value up to $500). In addition, as part of the Grand Prize, the verified Grand Prize Winner will receive a designer “room redesign” for a room in the residence entered in the Contest. The “room redesign” may be provided by Sponsor, persons designated by Sponsor, or a Contest co-sponsor, if any. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the room redesign with a cash payment of the approximate value of the room redesign, not to exceed $1,000. A Runner-Up Prize of $500 cash will be awarded to each of the two (2) Runner-Up Prize Winners (as defined below). Total value of all prizes is approximately $22,500.

The Grand Prize may be used toward one year of rent, at the discretion of the Prize Winner. If a Prize Winner chooses to move into an Apartments.com residence, the Prize Winner must undergo standard security and application procedures for that property. Property manager/owner has final approval on residency. The Prize Winners cannot assign or transfer their prize to another person. Any expenses not stated herein (including, but not limited to, taxes or any other applicable fees or costs not expressly identified above that are related to the acceptance and/or use of the prize) are the sole responsibility of the applicable Prize Winner.

4. TO ENTER THE CONTEST
To enter, You must submit a completed official entry form along with two to four color photographs of Your current residence, including at least one of You and the family member(s) You live with, and an essay of no more than 500 words answering the question, “Why do You need to move into Your own place?”. Entries and photos may be submitted electronically through an online entry form available at www.apartments.com/roomtomove. Or, print out a hard copy entry form (available at www.apartments.com/roomtomove) and send Your entry via U.S. mail to: Apartments.com Room To Move Contest, Attn: Maureen Boyle, 175 West Jackson Boulevard, 8th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60604-2601.

All mail-in entries must be postmarked on or before May 15, 2006 and received by Sponsor at the above address no later than May 21, 2006. Online entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on May 15, 2006. Entries with fewer than two photos or more than four photos will be disqualified. Each photo must be no larger than 5” x 7” (if sent by mail) and no larger than one megabyte (if sent electronically). Entries that do not include an essay or include an essay of greater than 500 words will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or e-mail. Photos and essays will not be acknowledged or returned and will become the property of Sponsor.

By entering the Contest, You expressly agree to receive e-mail notifications from Sponsor regarding the status of the Contest. Unless You indicate that You do not wish to receive newsletters and e-mail from Sponsor, You may also receive Sponsor’s newsletter and e-mail from Sponsor regarding Sponsor’s products and services and other information that might be of interest to You.

5. SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
A team of judges selected by Sponsor will select three (3) potential finalists (“Finalists”) from among all eligible entries based on the following factors: originality of expression on the following criteria; (10%) Why/how You ended up in Your current living situation; (30%) Why You need to move out of Your current living situation (what bothers You, what’s holding You back); (30%) What You plan to do once You're able to move out (Your ambitions and what the freedom will let You do); and (30%) the funniest experiences You’ve had because of Your living arrangement. Creativity and humor levels are important! All decisions of the judges are final.

On or about May 29, 2006, the Finalists’ entries will be posted on www.apartments.com/roomtomove (the “Web Site”). Visitors to the Web Site will vote online for the Finalist most deserving of the prize from approximately May 29, 2006 to June 16, 2006. Each voter will be required to provide his/her e-mail address when submitting a vote and only one (1) vote per day per unique e-mail address will be counted. Provided all other requirements of these Official Rules are met, the Finalist to receive the most eligible votes by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on June 16, 2006 wins the Grand Prize (the “Grand Prize Winner") and each of the other two Finalists wins a Runner-Up Prize (“Runner-Up Prize Winners”). In the case of a tie, the Grand Prize Winner will be the Finalist who received the highest score/most votes in the Finalist voting from the panel of Sponsor’s judges.

Finalists may be required and must be prepared to make promotional appearances (television, radio, or otherwise) on or between May 29, 2006 and June 30, 2006, during which time Sponsor may publicly announce the selected Grand Prize Winner. In the event that no promotional appearances are scheduled, the selected Grand Prize Winner will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail on or about June 26, 2006 and must respond to the notification by telephone, fax or e-mail within three (3) business days of Sponsor's issuance of notification. Failure to respond completely and within the designated timeframe to the Grand Prize Winner notification or to comply with any other requirements will result in forfeiture of the Grand Prize and the next-highest vote winner among the Finalists will become the Grand Prize Winner. Any Grand Prize Winner notification returned as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Grand Prize Winner. If the original Grand Prize Winner selected does not receive the Grand Prize, he or she will receive the Runner-Up Prize instead, provided all other requirements of these Official Rules have been met.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS

By participating, You agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final on all matters pertaining to the Contest, and You waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules. All federal, state and other tax liabilities arising from this Contest will be the sole responsibility of the Prize Winners. Sponsor, any co-sponsor, its/their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotions agencies, and their respective employees, agents and contractors shall have no liability and shall be held harmless by You for any and all damage, loss, liability or any injuries to person or property, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of Your acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize(s) or participation in this Contest. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually in Chicago, Illinois, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorney's fees. Sponsor, any co-sponsor, its/their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotions agencies, and their respective employees, agents, and contractors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete or unintelligible entries, telephone system or computer malfunctions, lost connections or transmission errors; (ii) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the acceptance, possession or usage of any prize or from participating in the Contest; or (iii) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any material associated with the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, suspend or adjust the dates of this Contest (with or without awarding any prizes) should a virus, bug, computer problem or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor may prohibit You from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines You are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, using automated voting or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants or Sponsor representatives. In case of a dispute as to the identity of a Prize Winner, such entry will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail account, provided all other requirements are met. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

7. RULES/WINNERS LIST:

The Prize Winners will be posted on www.apartments.com/roomtomove on or about June 27, 2006.
