Outlying Greene County

Outlying Greene County, including northern portions of Springfield, mixes old and new living styles near the Springfield-Branson National Airport, Chestnut Expressway and the Interstate 44 corridor. Areas west of Springfield feature wide-open meadows and newer subdivisions just south of the airport on land once owned by apple farmers. The northern and central parts of Springfield have a rustic charm reminiscent of days gone by.

The center point of this neighborhood sits nearly 3 miles northwest of the city center. Take Kansas Expressway south, and then Chestnut Expressway east, to reach downtown Springfield.

The Springfield Public School District provides educational opportunities for children. Evangel University, Ozarks Technical Community College and Drury University represent institutes of higher learning in this neighborhood.
