What happens in Vegas is SUPPOSED to stay in Vegas, but we had such a great time at the National Apartment Association Conference and Exposition (NAA) last week, we just couldn’t help but share some of it with you all.
So to kick this blog post off, I thought I would pose a few questions:
- What do elephants, bobble heads and deflating balloons all have in common?
- How many apartment professionals can you take 60 stories high in the Las Vegas sky?
- When can you catch Chris Brown in a suit talking about mouse traps?
Read on for the answers…
Our journey started Wednesday, June 22, promptly at 8PM, sixty stories high in the Vegas sky with our Customer Appreciation Party at The Mix. Nearly 700 Apartments.com customers came to hang out and celebrate the success they experience working with us…along with enjoying some drinks, apps and a spin around the dance floor! Take a look at our view atop The Mix…one of the best in Vegas. While many of our attendees continued on after the party throughout the Mandalay Bay hotel, for some of us the alarm clock would start buzzing all too early on Thursday morning.
Thursday was a day packed with a ton of action starting at 9AM with our own VP of Product Development, Chris Brown, and Princeton Properties’ CMO, Sarah Greenough, as they presented during the NAA Education Sessions to a packed house. Their presentation, “Building a Better Mouse Trap: Capturing Prospects with Your Website,” taught attendees the five key tactics for capturing contact information on property websites and turning interested prospects into future residents. If you missed our session, you can still read all the great information that was shared by searching for #educonf11D1 on Twitter. Also, be sure to tweet us at @apartmentscom if you have any questions related to this topic and we’ll tweet you right back.
THEN…the exhibit hall opened and Apartments.com got booth attendees jumping, shaking, dancing and swinging with 60 Seconds to Success – our own rendition of NBC’s popular Minute to Win It game show. You almost had to be there to see how excited and involved our contestants got in five challenges that rotated throughout the exhibit hours on Thursday and Friday. Lucky for you, we happened to snag some video from the “Shake Your Groove Thing” challenge to see for yourself. And check out some pictures from our other challenges: “Bobble Head,” “Elephant March,” “This Blows,” “Paper Scraper,” and “Stack Attack.” Don’t try this at home…or better yet, maybe you should…it was a ton of fun! Special thanks to Mark Davis, our Pacific Northwest Regional Manager turned game show host/emcee, who got the crowds roaring with his charisma and humor.
Amidst the fun and games at the booth, there was also some business to be done and new products to launch. Booth attendees were able to demo our new Mobile Infusion product and learn how Apartments.com can be your complete mobile marketing solution. Even if you weren’t at NAA, we’d love to tell you more about Mobile Infusion so contact your Advertising Consultant to get the full demo!
And just like that, the time flew by and we were all on planes heading home. So, hope you enjoyed a glimpse into what happened in Vegas. See you in Boston next year when we can share everything!
