How to Make a Barmoire

BarmoireBlog
Transform an old TV armoire into the perfect small space entertaining bar!

You see them at every yard sale. Chances are you even have one: the old armoire.

It used to hold TVs. You know, back when TVs were big square boxes.

These armoires are a dime a dozen, and if you have a growing collection of bar items and a rental with limited storage, it's time you are introduced to the barmoire.  Turn that old armoire into the perfect entertaining solution!

Barmoire: A movable cabinet, intended to hold old TVs and not big enough to hold a flat screen; converted into a bar using accessories and bar supplies.

With a few simple steps, you can turn any old armoire into a useful, functional bar for your living space. Sound good? Here is what you will need to do.

First, gather your supplies. These really can be customized based on your style but you will likely want to start with the armoire, then grab a mirror that will fit inside the TV opening, a lamp for nightcaps, and a tray or wooden ledge for a shelf.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Armoire
  • Mirror (that will fit inside)
  • Lamp
  • Tray or Wooden Ledge
  • Bar Supplies (liquor bottles, mixers, wine, bottle opener...)
