My apartment is comfortable but dated. When repairs are needed they come right away. Its quite and peaceful. I like where I live but for what I pay it would be nice for some upgrades. All in all its a nice place to live and my kids are in one of the top school districts which keeps me here.
I have been living here for only about 9 months. I have already had things fall apart in my apartment. the maintenance here is horrible aad it is very hard to get anyone to xome fix anything. They also have an electic company that is a no option company. CEMA it is almost impossible to get a hold of anybody. They over charge like crazy and claim i owe them money when i dont. Dont move here is you like your sanity
Great area, stores, and great complex.
This is a perfect place to live, everything from great maintenance to a huge pool and much open space, this apartment has everything you would need and want. the complex grounds are kept clean and tidy, and unlike other areas you may live in, you get your own porch if you wish to sit back and relax or have a BBQ with the family. If you're feeling the need to exercise the complex has a great gym to workout in (That is also kept clean and up to date on machines). The huge grounds gives you plenty of room to run around in and gives the kids plenty of room to play. Along with all those positives, there are also a few playgrounds and plenty of places to eat and visit in the area. Located a few minutes away by walking is a Supermarket, countless restaurants and fast food, a gym, the community pool, the train station, hair salons and barber shops, and basically every other thing you can think of that would help you with all your needs. You get a little bit of everything and have the advantage of all the businesses right in your back yard.
Horrible maintenance and no response for emergencies.
A pipe burst in the hallway and after months of calling nearly every day there is no response. Carpet is flooded hallway and a pipe is leaking and no sign of anyone to fix it. Water is throughout kitchen hallway bathroom and making its way to the bedroom. If you like living in an unmaintained swamp with electrical problems this is the place for you.
i hate my apartment
The maintance deptment stinks i have mold in my clset, and in my outdoor shed, where my ac unit is,which by the way was installed at the turn of the century,i also have a hole in my bathroom ceiling where they have fixed the pipe.i have been to the rental office numerous times with no action.
horrible place to live
I moved here in the begining of december...havent even lived her for a year yet i already want to leave! The ladys in the office are soooo rude! Calling in for a fix and they make excuses and start arguments with me! I had to wait 3 months for them to come fix my leaving roof! i called maintenance and they gave me a bucket! I called in my front door lock and they never came out...next day coming home from work my lock breaks and im locked out of my appartmmt...i call em and they took 45 min...as i wait in the snow at 1am!!! I asked about bugs when i moved in...they told me there are water bugs and thats about it...i. Have seen roaches many times under my sstove..in my closet! I have so many issues with this place!!! Dont love here!!
Nasty, unreliable management who lie and manipulate
we moved in this week and obviously keys were handed over the same day and then we stepped in to see dirty carpet which stinks, non functional locks bathrooms vth broken flush and dirty corners and many more and then I had to take a break from my work and complain and things were partially taken care of. Carpets stinks of smoke and smell of pets and they convinced me saying its smell of carpet shampoo ( none of us can clean carpet of it stinks later right ?) and guess what when I started walking to fix stuff ... Bottom of my feet has a black dirty layer of grease and its sticky (I would have loved to put up a picture ... Thers no option.... ) now lease is signed up so not sure how to take care of this. I'm writing this as tenants can't be taken for granted .... Even though we need house as a basic need we expect to be treated with basic sense and respect and remember we are paying running our credit giving you advance paying for maintenance and what not .... Not saying everyone will have bad experience but this might atleast help to proactively think of possible issues ... Hope this helps!
1 BR 1 BA - 1 year is all it took
Blair Mill Village East Overall this is a nice community with decent amentities and friendly neighbors. The problem is mostly with the maintenance. We had a leak in the ceiling from the rain and it took over a month for them to come fix it. How they fixed it was worst, they just put plaster up on the inside, took another 2 weeks for the roofers to finally come out. Then we starting getting another leak in our bedroom and when we called, they yelled at us for not reporting it quicker(we reported it the same day we noticed it). Also, the people that work at the office are flat our rude. They don't care what you have to say and don't believe you when you tell them that you have bugs. Layout of rooms - 5/5 Move-in ready - 5/5(fresh paint and new carpet) Drainage - 3/5(older pipes that make noises when turned on and used but still work) Electrical - 5/5(no problems to report) Pool/Gym - 4/5 (gym is adequate, dont expect a full gym. Pool is ok, could use more seats but again adequate) Value for Money - 4/5(Rent was pretty good but they continually increase the rent on people that stay - usually around $50-100 per year - which is why one of our neighbors finally had to move out) Snow/Lawn maintenance - 4/5(they plowed the roads early and efficiently but i gave it a 4 because they also cut the grass early and wake everyone up, on a saturday) Overall its a decent place, but they desparately need new property managers. If they upgraded that i would give it a 4/5.
Old and in need of repair
I found a water leak in my closet. The central air struggles to keep it cold and the water goes from freezing to scolding.
Great Apartment with Neighborhood Feel
I have lived at Blair Mill Village East for 4 months and I am very happy here. Rent was lower for the area but you get so much. The gym is typically empty and has all the equipment you could need. The pool is a bonus as well. The apartments are slowly getting renovated with new kitchens. I did have a few issues that required maintenace. (a leak, air conditioning, and a few minor thing) however they were incredibly prompt in fixing my issues. I love having a patio and private entrance which feels more like a home. Great size and plenty of closet space. The complex is really quiet and great for taking walks around. You only pay gas heat and electric. The one annoying thing is you cant do automatic payments for the electric bill. You get a bill in the mail and have to mail a check. My only real complaint is that the plumbing is slow draining. The tub takes a while to drain and the toilet won't flush completely all the time.
My building-not sure if all are like mine
Like the previous post—the apartments are beautiful. I have a gorgeous updated kitchen, nice windows, lots of room and closets. The location is great and it really doesn’t feel like apartment living. The mail gets delivered right to your door. It’s a very friendly community. It could be just my building but we have severe bug issues from cockroaches to drain flies. I’ve been battling this for over three months. Maintenance doesn’t really fix anything. They come out and do the least they have to do to get by (which usually means they have to come out again and again until they actually fix it). Not sure if a specific person is assigned to my building so maybe it’s just the person that fixes my building. I’ve lived here since March and I’ve had to call maintenance at least once a week due to the bugs, a/c, leaky pipe, and maintenance “lost” my key, etc. The electric bill is also extremely high considering this is apartment living. Again, this could just be my building. Maybe the others are better! I would hope so since it really is a nice place to live!
Apartment complex is beautiful . Only 2 stories so it feels more like a home rather than apartment . Your mail gets delivered directly to your door !love the pool and gym , neighbors are super friendly . The only down side is maintenance sometimes takes awhile to come and fix issues
