We've been living at Amberleigh for the last 7-8 months now and the stay had been decent so far. However, since the past one week, there has been a lot of mice activity in our house and the community surrounding our house. There are holes behind the dish washer, cooking range and the closet in the living room from where these mice came in. After the first complain, the management sealed one of the holes with foam, behind the dish washer and mentioned that no more holes or mice were found in the house but that they had laid traps just in case. By the time we got home in the evening, all the traps they set had mice in them. Since it was after office hours and this wasn't an 'emergency', they refused to take care of it then, which is fine. We got more traps ourselves and are waiting for this to be taken care of. The mice are eating all the kitchen supplies and the living conditions are getting really unhygienic. Forget about extending our lease, its going to be difficult to even finish this one now!

Terrible management. They are dishonest and unresponsive. They used preventative maintenance checks to spy on the residents and are uncooperative when a serious issue is raised. I contacted them at least ten times regarding extremely bright lights that are directly outside of our apartment. We are in a corner unit, which was wonderful, but now is useless. Six months after we moved in, the maintenance guys decided it was time to install new bulbs in a set of lampposts that have been dark for as long as we had been here. One of these lamps is less than 20 feet from our patio and completely lights up the dining room, bedroom, and living room from 5 pm to 7 am. There is a second light not much farther from our second bedroom window, which causes it to be doubly bright in there. We bought two sets of blackout curtains and doubled them in the bedroom so we could sleep at night, but we still have to keep the bedroom door closed b/c the light from the front rooms comes into the bedroom (there is not even a hallway). The bedroom is extremely dark and gloomy all the time, it is difficult to wake up in the morning and after spending $100 on curtains we ended up spending another $50 on a "daylight alarm clock." I don't want to put blackout curtains throughout the apartment b/c I keep house plants which need daylight. After repeated requests for a compromise, they sent a maintenance tech to my apartment who was extremely rude, he said nothing would change, and that I could contact the property manager. I called to make an appointment for a meeting, they said he would get back to me by the end of the week, and even after numerous other attempts to get in touch with him, I have never heard from him or anyone else about this issue, which began occurring back in Oct. 2012. Needless to say, we will not be renewing our lease here
