Rated 1 out of 5?by Disatisfied Tenant Honest Review Looking for an affordable apartment in the DC area is tough enough but getting the quality that anyone would expect at a decent price is also tough. Finding these apartments was a steal, but as they say, looks can be deceiving. They do offer a Military Referral Program and at a discounted rate but it was not worth it. The quality of the apartments are outdated and at the low end of "Quality". The High Rise apartments that I was staying in were supposed to be a better "noise controlled" building but it has been terrible. There is little to no insulation and in order to file a complaint you have to contact the office while it is progress so they can verify the noise. So if it happens to be 2am you need to call the after hours service! Who wants to do that?! If you plan on getting wood floors which almost everyone loves, the wood floors are parque floors (ugliest floors ever) and they make you sign stating that you will cover 80% of your aparment with carpet!!! Why have wood floors then?! Carpeting is expensive, even for a large size rug. The utter worst thing I have consistently experienced are bugs (Roaches and Large Knats). I am constantly having to clean out the cabinets. I have not been able to utilize the lower kitchen cabinets. There is little to no storage throughout the apartment, no outside storage room, the walls are painted with paint that any small scratch or bump shows through to the drywall. The area consists of mostly Korean Restaurants, so if you are not into Asian food you will have to drive a considerable distance to get the other types of food. The elementary school for this area is decent, the bus picks up in front of the office. There laundry access inside the apartments it is a community laundry room. There is no dog run or any area for your pets to run off the leash and there is no dog park close by. The power goes out quite often and living on the higher floors makes it difficult because there is no back up generator for the elevators. The grocery store is walking distance. They keep the area pretty clean. Overall, I will not ever recommend this place to anyone after I move. The funniest part is that I brought reviews up about the place to them and they said, "Oh you cant always believe what you read." So much for that!!! January 9, 2013
